Stuck On Driving School Lesson 35

Hi Guys and Gals,
HEEEELP!!
I can't get past Lesson 35. It's been like 2 weeks and I've only been able to get Silver.

Don't follow that racing line. Turn in later, on both turns. Looks like you are slowing more than needed on the first turn.

You need to be way more aggressive. Don't brake early and let go of the throttle like that at the first corner. Go from full throttle to full brakes and brake as late as possible; so late that you have to steer into the corner while brakin (called trail braking). As for the second part you accelerate in a straight line, heading up, and then you just let go of the throttle and let the speed carry you through the optimal line, which goes through the middle of the road and into the white line on the right. If you get it right you will hit the apex of the last bend and then you make sure to get some good speed at that exit, so much that you almost go off track.

Yeah! I turned it on because I thought I was going crazy!

I know there's something to be said about immersion. But I don't get why so many race inside the cockpit??!! It's so much easier with almost any other angle. And it's easier to see who you have around you in a race, btw.

I agree on the view. I use the bumper cam or hood cam. The bumper at least has a mirror, sounds better too.

You're right. And on top of that, I'm looking at 2 wheels, since I have my own. I just haven't taken the time to think it through, but felt like I should be using bumper cam! I'll do that.

I did it! Turned traction control off (or down to 1, can't remember) and found my inner penguin!
