Okay my last thread about this got closed.
Let me state for the record: I own a legit copy of the software and am not looking for any illegal solutions.
The problem: When I try to install my copy of Studio MX I can't get past the serial number screen. The "next" button never activates. I know I am using the right number.
The first couple times it gave me a warning right when the installer started that said something about a .dll file and being unable to complete instalation. I didn't write it down and it stopped doing that. It just won't go now. Anyone know why this might be? I've installed all my other software on this laptop with no problems. I've also installed this MX disk before with no problems.
Somebody mentioned the windows installer. I was wondering... if the windows installer was messed up if I would be able to instal some things and not others? I did succeed in installing Photoshop and Premier. But I went through and trimmed a lot of M$ fat right off the bat. I may have inadvertently done something I shouldn't have. If the installer is messed up would I have to do a system restore? Or is there an easier way.
Of course if you think it's because of something else altogether please speak up!
Thanks.
