hope you approve :D feel free to comment

very good details!! I also like the 1930s car reflecting on the water the most, but the flat black hood of the blue Mustangs screams also, and the Sepia Model A could be mistaken for a period shot.

Also, very good choice in the S2 and S5, they are awesome do-it-all cameras, I want an S5!!!!

The latest set is stunning, you've really got an eye for details within cars, I enjoy shooting in a similar style when shooting cars. Keep up the good work!

Brilliant work, as usual! The 2nd one town has some really nice tones in it. 👍

Your work is fantastic! I was looking at your DevianArt work, the magazine cover you produced from the Concourse stuff is fantastic! You have some serious skills, made and seem to be making good use of them!

Hot stuff stumpy. I really like how you pick certain points of interest in cars for a close up shot... we've all seen these cars from far and wide so it's refreshing. I also dig the post processing that you do.

thanks guys! comments really appreciated :)
most nearly all those photos and whole load more i had put into a book, sorta like a portfolio showcase piece for my car photography that i want to take around to interviews etc if i go this route anyway, already sold a copy too :D
so, heres a few new ones

I think you went too far off with darkening the construction behind the slammed street rod, I would give it more colour, more presence, but you have some very very good details in here, quite good Stumpy.

Great stuff as usual. You really do have a good eye for it. Did you do that last shot with a rig?

thanks again guys!

Awsome work. I too love your post processing. Your colours are sooo nice. Pleasure on the eye.

thanks :) i like to play around, anything to try get rid of the typical ugly browns and flat greys, i like to give my pictures some kind of atmosphere and more control over tones and colours. sure its not completely natural but its interesting to me :)

yea, was practicing with it in my driveway

really need to go slow with this on, anything over walking pace just makes too much vibration along the arm

Beautiful shots, mate.

My favourite of this last batch has to be the 1st one. Love the angle, composition and overall tones on the shot, with the dark ereas blending very well with all the detail.

Are you actually runing the car or just pushing it?

Awesome toy, I've always thought about getting one but for some reason or other, I've never gotten around to it.

just running it with moving with tickover, altho even thats almost too fast, bit tricky to push it and hold the remote and be able to brake too lol
they are a fun thing to have, but overpriced and some issues, like the suction cup with not much flexibility or a release valve, absolute pain to get on and to get off! is strong i'll give it that!

I think I may have mentioned this before, but I really dig your unique view/composition of automotive photography.

thanks!
Its been a while I know, but I have been snapping away still, here are a few from the South Coast InterNats in June

by the way, a query someone here might know, if i take shots of a car at a show am i allowed to sell prints of my photos?

It has indeed been a while dude. These looks great. Love the cross processing feel the shots have. 👍

The short answer is yes you can.

The long answer is a bit muddled and depends on what you are shooting. I can only give examples of copyright laws in Australia, but I imagine that it wouldn’t too dissimilar.

The basic rule is that if you took the photo, you own the copyright. There are a few exceptions to this rule however. Events can have rules or conditions of entry which prohibit the sale of their shots.

Also if you take a shot of a person, they own the copyright but you own the image. This means that you own said images but not the right to distribute or profit from them without the consent of the person in the shot.

Keep in mind that UK law might be a little different to Australian law in this respect so it’s best to check with the Copyright registration office.

For what you shoot, you will be fine. They are for the most part either classics or custom cars anyway so you will solely own the copyright to the images and should be free to do what you want with them.

hm see i thought that because they are custom they would be recognisable unique creations rather than just a product, and as i snapped at a show rather than being asked to do it by the owner, that selling from it would have to be something i would have to ask the owner to do...i will look into it.
