Stupid Question: How Do You Save FIA Replays?

So I got the game yesterday, and today I took part in my first race and won it, but I didn't see any option as to save or view the replay. All I could do was see the race details or exit and after I exited the game returned me to the Nations Cup home.

At the end of the race where you can select 'exit' you press left on the dpad, it should move the cursor to the top left of the screen where it says 'replay' you can click there and select save

Yep, have to do it then and there. Do you record your races with the share button? I do every FIA Race I start recording, and then save the replay afterwards.

I have it setup so I can double tap the share button (not sure if thats a default control) so it will start recording. Recording length is also set to 30 minutes. If I happen to have a daily which i don't record, you can always hold the share button down and select 'save video' to save the last x minutes (x depending on what you have setup in your ps4 system settings)

Not sure if you know any of this already, but I didn't at one stage and found it was helpful when I did learn about it.

Didn't know about the double tap thing, thanks.

Sorry, I should better explain, record length by default is 15 minutes, I have mine set to 30 but I believe you can go out to 60minutes or as little as 60seconds. Double tapping share again will end recording.

So, is there any limit on how many races we can save? I was thinking it would be good to have a record of my best times on different tracks - saving best laps or races would do that. I should start doing it.

Only the size of your hard drive, I haven't found a limit yet and I save most of my replays, single lap, qualifying and race.

EDIT: Turns out there is a limit as per the post below. But I am yet to find it.

There is a limit on Replays. You'll typically get a warning when the limit is approaching. And it is way less than the hard drive capacity, but way more than the PCars 2 1 gigabyte limit.

There is currently no way of saving just the fastest lap in a replay.

If you use the PS video Capture approach, you'll be limited to playing back what you saw during the race of course.

A combination of PS Screenshot plus a spreadsheet is the only way I know of to keep best lap records from races.

Time Trial will do it for you, but only for Time Trials. And it doesn't record details such as tire type and tune. So you can end up comparing apples and bicycles.

Do you know what the limit is? Has someone hit it to find out?

You can save best lap within Time Trial and Practice modes, but you cannot pull a best lap out of a race or qualy session.

I hit it, but it was not clear to me what the limit is. I just got a warning that I'd need to free up "X" megabytes if I wanted to save a replay
