So, it certainly looks like the next generation of Japanese supercars are all going to be pushing 400ps then.

And it looks like another company are coming in to scare the major players in the Japanese domestic market The Subaru B11S, strongly influenced by Subaru's recent concept car also named the B11S by all accounts.

The Subaru B11S (also known as the Boxer 11 Sport), some European media outlets saying this is the look of the next Impreza.

Tagged by the company as a "Grand Utility Turismo", the styling is meant to "suggest a bird in flight, reflecting Subaru's aircraft heritage", said Fuji Heavy Industries president Kyoji Takenaka, when he launced the car @ the Geneva Motor Show.

Powered by a new 500Nm twin-turbo six-cylinder boxer engine still under developement. Power is funnelled to all four wheels via a five-speed automatic gearbox and Subaru's symmetrical all-wheel drive system, which incorporates variable torque distribution (VTD).

Ugh! That is horrible! It doesn't look a thing like a Subaru. I'm used to the WRX semi-square look, they look very nice. This thing looks more like a Nissan.

The front opening looks a bit Alfa-Romero-esque.

I guess it makes no difference what it looks like right now, because it isn't going to look anything like that if/when it gets produced.

The power is more than enough to please me.

Yes... this will be a great compeitor to the GT-R and to domestic cars like vipers,corvette, mustang, and etc.... so to sum it up... Subaru and Nissan already have a concept of there new legendary cars... Honda, Mazda and Toyota all made "plans" for their new generation of NSX,RX7, and Supra... cant wait for any of these cars to be release... how about a 450hp Evolution 4WD?

That vehicle is not a "Subaru". No matter what they say that vehicles goes against everything that is subaru. This looks like a university design excercise gone terribly wrong.

Mmm... just saw that car at the Sydney Motor Show - they've toned the front end down a bit.

The rest of the car is quite attractive - but that nose....
