So at my vo tech we have to do a pan project so we can learn to do body work. First I started off with a flat piece of steel. Then bent the the edges at 90 degrees an inch in. I used a hammer and dolly to expand the metal. Then once it is at the desired hight, they crush it. So the challenge is to straighten it back to its original shape.

The underside where it was crushed and ripped and welded back together with a patch.

Then there was some old paint that I grabbed and it had way too much reducer in it so it came out with a texture. I think it looks cool. Then I topped it off with a badge from a wrecked forester that came in.

Figured this would be amusing to look at.

Thanks! I figured at least one person would think that a useless pan is nice. lol.

So, you gonna use it to bake some veggies and meat?

Looks pretty good though.

Well it made it into the World of Wheels car show in January this year.

Nothing! Its 100% useless in every way.

If it's available for sale, I might hang one on the wall :P

Crisp, Turn those into Wall-hanging Decors. They have a finish that's pretty enough to look like a product, and the small square arrangement makes them look collectible when you put a whole bunch together. This can actually become a small business for you if you can make them fairly easily.

Go make a bunch with original badges or prints and sell it. If you're willing, you can contact companies and get their permission to use their logos and you can start making money promoting them. Just remember to get their permission or pay whatever royalties fees that will apply or else you'll get into trouble. 👍

Yeah but they take so long to make. Expanding the metal would take about a day and a half just to get the shape. Then add body filler, finish off day two. Then primer it, paint it, clear it, and it would take about 4-5 days to get one pan done. Plus the cost of materials (base coat clear coat and body filler) to produce something so pointless. If I had a group of 5 people I could certainly sell them but me on my own I don't think its very possible. Its an idea worth considering though!

Then think about making them easier. They don't have to be metal tobe able to hang off a wall. Fiberglass molds?

Not to draw attention away from yours (very good btw), but that 'Monster' one is really smart. :D
