Subaru has unveiled the 2015 WRX STI rallycross car, ahead of its debut at the New York Auto Show.
Set to compete in the Red Bull Global Rallycross and the X Games Rallycross, the car is dubbed the VT15x and was built by Vermont SportsCar.
Subaru was coy on specifics but said the model features a widebody kit as well as METHOD race wheels. The car also has improved aerodynamics, optimized weight distribution and a revised suspension geometry - among other things.
Power is provided by a 2.0-liter Boxer engine that produces 580 hp (432 kW). It is connected to a six-speed SADEV sequential transmission and an all-wheel drive system which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in two seconds flat.
