< NSX successor >
We are now focused on the development of a new model to succeed the NSX for a new era. We would like to debut a new super sports car equipped with a V10 engine in 3 to 4 years. Please look forward to seeing the NSX successor.

Yay for the Honda fanboys. :sly:

Sorry, this is in the wrong forum. This needs to be moved to the Cars in General forum.

So true!

We be Jammin!

I had to come.

But I wouldn't be surprised if it goes to a F1 derived V8. I just think it would be better publicity. Exspecially if Honda do better in a few years.

Hang on a sec, it's a bit too much to read all that text, but a V10? I thought Japan still has that 280bhp limit?

The 350Z doesn't surpass it but plenty of cars have done like the R34 GT-R, NSX-R an Supra's. It's an agreement thats no longer in use, it stopped last year I think but were yet to see the first proper results of that.

It'll finally have the power to make it better value for money.yay.

How would you make a W with 3 inline fours? Unless you were talking about taking the V6 in the NSX, but that's a 3.2L I believe.

Hiya! :D :embarrassed:  Meow! (='.'=)

And then you can tilt that W upside down into an "M." So then the next NSX can once again surprise the world! :embarrassed: 👍

and while they're at it, they can put in an asterisk engine! * CIRCULAR 6! WOOO!

If you think I'm going to make fun of Honda, consider yourself wrong. I respect Honda for innovation. The moment I read or hear "Honda" I'm not thinking "ricer," I'm thinking either innovation or the inventive nature of Honda. As far as this V10 deal is concerned, I thought the NSX's successor is the S2000, since the S2000 is doing better than the NSX. The S2000 had a 2.0 liter motor with 120hp per liter. I think if Honda wants to be in the upper leauges, let them. Perhaps the V10 inspiration came from their Formula One efforts.

I don't know what kind of "NSX successor" the Tochigi boys and girls are thinking of, but if the successor's getting a V10, it has to be deserving of some attention even if you aren't Honda fans. At least something's going to have a little more get-up-and-go in Honda's lineup obviously. I'll be interested to see what Honda's going to come up with.

The car magazines here in Japan have been showing pics of the NSX successor. It looks like a cross between the Gallardo, The HSC, and the Nardo (I call it the GaNardo) They have been mentioning the V10s in the Porsche Carrera and the Gallardo as similar to what may be in the new Honda supercar.

sounds interesting, but this part caught my eye

"Honda will introduce the fuel efficient Fit as an entry level model in North America. Fit models manufactured in Brazil will be introduced to Mexico in October of this year, and the Japan-made Fit will be introduced to the U.S. and Canada next spring. Honda will further expand its product lineup in order to respond to increasing customer demands for vehicles with high fuel efficiency."
:)

Along the lines of the Lamborghini Gallardo, HSC, and the Nardo, you say? Seems interesting. Perhaps if Honda wants to step up into maybe racing in the ALMS or qualify for Le Mans, it sure sounds like a good deal for this sports car. Of course, this is going too far for a car that hasn't even been released yet.

This may be a car to watch. Nice to see Honda kind of step up like this with its replacement. I think the way I've known the NSX, it was supposed to be an exotic sports car that's practical. All the while for its sub-300hp engine, it performed beautifully and has seen a grand total of two different design changes. It was probably the longest time a car has gone on for several years without a bigtime design change. Regardless, its handling was impressive. I kept seeing maybe $60K, $80K, even at one point, $105K for it. Regardless, good on-track and on-road performance costs money (insert "au contrare, John! Ever heard of the ___ ___?).

Whatever this NSX replacement is going to look like, I think it will have to keep the enthusiasm happy of Honda fans who are into the NSX. If it's a Honda V10, my best guess is to come up with a supercar that is the brainchild of their success in Formula One. A compilation, if you will, of its efforts all embodied into one automobile carrying the silver badge representing Honda. I'm actually interested in knowing more about this project.

By the way, here's a math question for you. Honda engineering + their own V10 + supercar = ??? How do you think people will respond to even the notion of a Honda supercar?

Hiya! :D :embarrassed:  Meow! (='.'=)

The answer to that question is....

Another competitor for the successor of the next GT-R that will be arriving in the USA!!! :embarrassed: :embarrassed: :embarrassed: 👍
