Do you always go straight into the suggested gear or go above the gear on the turnings and end up skidding. do you think sticking to the suggested gear all the time will make you go slow compared to free style

The suggested gear is just that, a suggestion. You certainly don't have to take every corner in the gear it says. Once you know the track/car, you will quickly work out what gear to use & what suits your style. Sometimes the correct gear may be the one it suggests, other times you might find taking it in a different gear is much quicker. Just a matter of practice.

Yeah, I don't ever look at it. I always concentrate on the track. I don't even use the taco, look at splits or anything like that in Time trials because it all distracts you from the mission at hand. Even people signing in and out of PSN is distracting to me. So for me looking at the gear suggestion is just a distraction.

It must be very quiet where you play GT.... :D

It is, I have my own little room where I play it. Any background noise like someone talking to me is distracting. So I have the 5.1 surround turned right up and I just sit in the spare room concentrating very very hard.:D:lol:

Usually, I looking at the suggested gear only few days after I bought the game, but after a while I don't at it.

I would love to see that PD will give the option (as well as other need options) to disable the suggested gear feature, and also to disable it for all users while in self-created rooms (I refer to user-created-rooms with no password protection so anyone can enter)

I think it's a good support for learning the track. But after a while you will learn that it's a bit conservative, just like the suggested entry speeds.
So i usaly only use it for learning tracks after that i don't really use it anymore.
