suggestion - folder icons

Those folder icons need to be changed (on the forum listing). I could not tell which forums had new material and which ones did not. This may sounds stupid, but I actually did not go into these forums because I thought there was nothing new. My suggestion: Make an open folder for the forums that have new content. You can keep the 'non-new' folder the same.

Just my suggestion IMHO.

I thought the folders that were "RED" contained new threads, but some of the folders like the "Motorsport - CART/IRL" I've never been into, so shoudn't the threads in there all be new?? Or does it only show folders that have new threads since the last time you were on the Forum?

Yeah, the folders should turn red when there are new posts in a forum. But, a message is considered to be new only if it has been posted since the last time you visited the site. Kind of strange...

Yes, but is there any way to get an icon (okay, I know it's possible, but could you, Jordan, do this for me? ) that is an 'open' folder. Right now there are just two folders that are both closed (they are just different colors). Not very user friendly. Not good design flow either....

Haha, yes I understand. I'll play around with Fireworks a bit, and see if I can come up with a red and open folder...

Just ignore GTS's forum icon, it's different and I haven't updated it yet. Also, Make sure you clear your temporary internet files so that you'll download the new icons.

I think they're better. However I'm not a fan of the blinking icons (the open-to-shut-to-open-(etc) folders). Just an open folder would be great. LOL.

BTW, did you make those new 'folder' (i guess they're not folders anymore ), or find them somewhere? J/W.

Thank you! I'd love to claim the new icons as my own, but I found them at (believe it or not), MySimon.com. When I saw them, I knew they'd be perfect here!
