Anyway...it is still a good idea in my opinion. :thumbsup: I would be excited if there were one though.

Well, I'd be the one to actually buy the game, but the way a raffle works isn't like a normal prize give-away. You see, you would be required to purchase your raffle ticket for a small fee (say $5) to enter in the drawing. Then, I would take all of the entries/tickets, and draw them out of a hat to declare the winner.
This works as a great fund-raiser, but I don't think it would go very smoothly online. How could I securely collect the money and keep everyone's information organized? How could I prove that the drawing was fair and honest to all participants? And, most importantly, what if there aren't enough entries to cover the cost of the game?

Yes Jordan these are all very nice points. Since you are the least judgemental person probably here at GTPlanet I for one would beleive you when you announced a winner. I would not mind paying $5 for a chance to win a game! Would it be possible to buy multiple tickets if this did happen? Anyway, maybe what you and we could do is send you an envelope with out address and name with our money and tell you what game we want. If and when you collect enough money to buy a game put all the names of the people who sent you the money into a hat and if they bought more than one raffel ticket then put there name in as many times as they purchased a ticket. Then when you pull that persons name you can make a thread about it and then ask that person what game they want. Then they tell you , then you go buy the game, then by using PM tell that person when your sending it and how and converse through PM's that way. I think if people were serious about this they would actually buy tickets. I know I would. Lets see.... $5 a ticket and a game costs $50 usually that means only 10 people would have to participate. If somebody bought 2 tickets then you would only need 9 people you see. Also, if there are more than 10 people participating and you get well over $50 then what is to happen with the extra money? You can not just send it back to that one person because it is now EVERYBODYS money in a technical way. Although this is raffle thing is possible to do, it would take planning and serious effort. I like the idea though. Give me feedback about this post please. Thank you.
P.S. A "raffle ticket" could just be a slip of paper Jordan writes your name on and keeps.
If we can actually make this all happen everybody, it will catch on and become more popular and games could be given out every week! C'mon guys lets think about this. :thumbsup:

i'd be interested, but i don't have a ps2. maybe some ps1 games too? of course, gt2 and gt3!

I thought it was a raffle for (insert random game name here), not just a raffle for any game.
