Should the use of Nitrous be banned from the Sunday Cup?

Since Sunday Cup isn't a part from Fast and Furious I think it should be more related to driving skill than raw power. I vote against nitrous.

Duh, it's an outside source of fuel that adds an unfair advantage. I personally only use it for drags and top speed runs. Yes I am addicted to the thrill of the nose lifting on my R92-cp and hitting a respectable 330+mph but on tracks like Trial Mtn. it's unnecessary. Now, If your at the ring or La Sarthe 2(whichever one doesn't have chicanes) It is kinda good to have but, it runs out. I say Ban it.

Nitrous should not be allowed for 2 Lap races, If you can afford to buy it, you are basically guaranteed to beat all others that don't have it. If Car-less and/or Jet Badger were to get nitrous, we all would never catch up; we would be losing by 15-25 seconds rather than 2-5 seconds.

Interestingly, the votes don't match the comments.

The three above have all made good points and I agree that nitrous will give an unfair advantage, but I would still be interested to see how things panned out if it were allowed. I'm going to have to abstain from voting on this one.

If it is not banned, you can rest assured that I have no plans to be in the first three to make use of it.

Maybe the phrasing of the question could have been better because, No I would prefer not to use it, so I voted Yes I want to ban it.

Maybe a gentleman's agreement can be reached either way.

Why does it matter whether or not somebody uses nitrous (or anything else) in the Sunday Cup? Go ahead and break out the Mazda 787B if that's what floats your boat. Or try to win it with a maxxed out Fiat 500. No limits on entries in the Sunday Cup other than N or S tires.

I think your in the wrong room or took a blow to the head. This has nothing to do with the Sunday Cup in GT4 the game.

Well with only Dogbreath wanting to keep Nitrous and Car-less and Skython11 abstaining Nitrous is now banned in the Sunday Cup.

Yes. You bought it, why not use it? That's like saying, "You just spend 150k on your engine, but you can't use it cuz you'd win."

Yeah quite a few no votes where from the general public voicing their dismay at someone telling them that they can't use nitrous for the GT4 Sunday Cup, which is understandable. (Though I don't know why anyone would need nitrous to complete the Sunday Cup, unless they want to try to lap the AI or something)

Dammit, I did the same thing as GrumpEone. I meant to say Nitrous shouldn't be in but voted wrong, I hat Nitrous, sorry

The first race in the Beginners Hall, and the one that most people do first, is the Sunday Cup, right? In fact the Sunday Cup has been the traditional first race in the entire GT series from the original GT through GT5, right? And this is the GT4 forum, right? So forgive me for being stupid enough to assume that a thread with the title "Sunday Cup Nitrous" in the GT4 forum would have something to do with the GT4 Sunday Cup.

Right!

Still doesn't explain how you missed the other Sunday Cup thread that this one pretains to with nearly 3,500 views of it. Oh well, at least your interested in the Sunday Cup what ever form it is. 👍

BH-21, maybe to avoid any further confusion, you should change the name of this thread to Sunday Cup Competition Nitrous, or something like that. But actually since the decision has been made, and the Nitrous Ban is in effect maybe this thread should be closed and locked by an admin.
