Like I’m sure many others out there today, I’m having a blast lapping my Raybrig NSX around time trials and it got me feeling pretty nostalgic thinking back to the Raybrig NSX of Gran Turismo yesteryear, arguably my favourite Super GT car featured in previous iterations.

I was curious, as someone who doesn’t follow much Motorsport racing in general, let alone Super GT, how would the previous generations fare against what we got in this update? Presumably there’ve been advancements and changes to the cars from 1999 to now.

I’m just wondering if PD brought back Super GT cars from previous games if they would be competitive against these new cars. Would they be able to BoP them into competitiveness?

Personally, I've no idea, but having a quick look at some laptimes...

2017 Suzuka Fastest Lap : 1'51.524 - No.24 Forum Engineering ADVAN GT-R / Joao Paulo de Oliveira

2000 Suzuka Fastest Lap : No.64 Mobil 1 NSX (D.Ito) 2'02.718

2017 Motegi Fastest Lap : 1'40.077 - No.23 MOTUL AUTECH GT-R / Ronnie Quintarelli

2000 Motegi Fastest Lap: Juichi Wakisaka (Honda NSX), 1:48.462

Suzuka's changed a little bit from 130R onwards, I don't believe Motegi has.
