Race Schedule
The room number will be posted at the bottom of this post 45 minutes prior to race start time.

*Practice = 30 minutes from room being opened

*Qualifying=15 minutes prior to race
1.) Once qualifying is started, you must not leave the track/pits.
2.) The Auto-Start for the race will be set to 15 minutes at the start of qualifying.

*Race Details and Rules
1.)The race will be 20 laps (35-40 minutes), with one mandatory pit stop.
2.)The race will begin from a standing start. NO pace lap.
3.) Maintain the use of proper racing etiquette at braking points, and your line in the corners.
4.)No blocking or erratic swirving on the straights. You may, however, cross the track to set up for a racing line.
5.) Damaged cars or cars out of contention should move off the racing line for passing cars.
6.) Pit lane entry and exit markings must be obeyed.
7.) NO Shortcutting corners. The green aproning/curbing will be considered legal as long as at least 2 wheels remain on track. Minor offense: is considered to be when all 4 wheels rode onto green curbing without reaching grass. Major offense: blantant cut through grass which will be grounds for a DQ.
8.)Race to the finish. Standings will be posted after the race.
9.) In the event of a racing incident /accident/shortcut, the person who caused contact or cut a corner must yield the position(s) back to the involved driver(s) to avoid placement penalty(s). If this courtesy is not returned immediately during the race, please continue racing and report your complaint to me by PM afterwards to be reviewed. If no fault is found, the race standings will be posted of the actual finishing order. If a review shows fault without courtesy being given as stated above, the at fault driver will be placed: ONE position behind the involved driver(s) for incidental/accidental contact that resulted in a driver being overly pushed off his line, or for a minor shortcut. TWO positions for aggressive driving contact that caused an off course. Or, a DQ for obvious abusive or retaliatory contact that caused an off course/accident, and for major short cutting. Please honor these rules and all will have an enjoyable and hopefully intense race, or for an offender the race could become a waste of your time.

I'd be interested.

I'm available saturdays or sundays about any time.

I'd like to make a case for having no damage but weak penalties.

In the event of a racing incident /accident, the person who caused contact must yield the position(s) back to the involved driver(s).

If I'm punted off track and I hit the wall how is the offending driver going to observe this? Will he follow me as I limp around to the pits to fix my heavy damage? Will he wait for me outside the pits to let me pass after I am repaired? If somebody has to pit to repair damage their race is over and they might as well quit. How is that fun for anybody?

With no penalties people can shortcut the chicane. With weak penalties they won't do that.

My car choice is the Commodore. Other information to be provided later.

Thanks for the interest. In regards to your concerns about heavy damage, you bring up a few good points. As stated, any complaints would be reviewed and short cutting or overly agressive driving would be cause for DQ. In thinking about your advice, I will change damage to light, so as to allow a driver to remain in contention. However, I completely dislike the penalties in this game as they are way to inconsistent. I will reword in the rules that any driver reported to be shortcutting or recklessly agressive, they will be DQ'd in the standings regardless of placement. I hope this makes the race more attractive. Keep any eye on this thread for a date and time when enough entries are made.

After testing the Commodore with stock suspension I find I don't care for the handling.

Therefore:

psn: HaylRayzor
Jag S-Type R
Scarab Green
1480kg
455hp
517PP
3.25 kg/hp

I can't say I love the stock suspension of the Jag either, but it handles well despite the floating sensation.

Or...

I would prefer to use a WRX STi '04 sedan since I'm a huge fan of the STi and this one in particular. It's my favorite sedan in the game, and one of my top 10 of all cars in the game.

WRX STi '04
Black
1340kg
401hp
517PP
3.33 kg/hp
