This sounds really stupid, but I urgently need help.

This sounds even more stpid: My Photoshop pictures come out pink!!!!!

Need help urgent because its a project and I need to edit some parts out...

Its Photoshop CS1 by the way..

Well nothing. I put "Open File" and select the picture I need to edit. But it comes out pink, and no matter what I try it doesnt change color.

Try checking to see if you're in Mask mode. I've been in that situation before:

Which is the correct one? Standard or QuickMask?
Tried both and both come out pink

Ah ok. When in Mask mode you can paint out selections using the brush and the selection is bright pink.

A screenshot would really help.

Ummm...I managed to get it paint black. But the picture is still pink when I open it.

And, I have no idea how to upload a pic from Imageshack because the file from Photoshop is PDF and Imageshack doesnt allow PDF.

Should I uninstall and install it again?

Photoshop is PSD.
Instead of going 'Save', go 'Save As', and save it as a JPEG type file.
Then load it to Imageshack, and post a thumbnail here.

I think a screenshot of the whole program would help more than just posting up an image of the PSD you're having problems with.

That's a point actually, is this just a specific with 1 PSD or a problem with all files in Photoshop. For instance, can you load other PSDs without the pinkness? Can you load a JPG image in Photoshop without it looking pink?

If you don't really know what's going on and you don't really know how to use Photoshop (i'll assume that by trying to upload a PSD you don't) and if this is a problem with all files in Photoshop, just reinstall it. If however you are only getting this problem with one PSD, then you've got a setting saved in Photoshop for that file which needs to be changed. Again though without being able to see/use the program it's going to be really hard to tell you what's wrong.

I've recycled this thread but help!!!!!!!!!

Ive been using photoshop pretty much all day doing vector type stuff and ive been saving selections and its been fine, I then go to make another selection and save it but it wont save to the document im working on or the channel im working on..... all it says is save to a new document and new channel which is useless.......this is really important...

I saved the project and reopened it and everything....its weird, does CS2 have a limit to how many selections you can save (which I find hard to believe!) I have 43 at the moment, whats going on... why cant I save anymore selections to my document!!

This is what I keep getting, no option to continue to save where I have been saving before......
