Got a new superbird 70' and I've been playing around with it forever and can't find the right setup for drag pls help
JacobviernesI would say around 150-177hp
I would say around 150-177hp
JacobviernesTotal hp in the car itself is 800hp, like I said I can't find the right gear setup. I'll hit like 140-150 mph at the end of the 1/4 which doesn't seem right for a car with 800 hp
kttheman001That seems very right due to excessive tire spin. Thats probably all youll get out of it. Plus its a bit heavier of a car. Most muscle cars have 800-850 hp and cross at 145-150
JacobviernesIf you guys could give me your thoughts on suspension that would be great. (dampers, roll bars, etc.)
kttheman001Well so far in my personal experience i use much lower front dampers and spring rates, seams to work well for muscle.
JacobviernesYeah thats what I'm doing now and works good. I'll do a timed run on my superbird tomorrow and post it here. I'll up the top speed to 185 or 200 see what that does. Should I flip the tranny?
kttheman001Yea i would but i say try not flipping and flipping just to see what you feel works better.
JacobviernesSomeone told me to flip it and I have no idea how to. I'm scrubby when it comes to drag
kttheman001Well flipping is when you set the final gear to a certain spot then you set your top speed. Once your top speed is set you drop your final gear down all the way left and try to come up with as karo said a topspeed in the upper corner of 185-200 mph
Also note you normally want your 5th to be all the way right.
Haha yeah I remember I was looking for a 70 charger
