I can't remember whether this was in Arcade mode or GT Mode, or how many laps there were, or any of the names of the corners, but here we go!
It was a magnificent sight. Various closed-top LeMans cars were rolling towards the start line at the treacherous Nurburgring. I was in a Jaguar XJR9, as was someone else on the grid. Fast-Forward to the penultimate lap...
We were rolling along at 200MPH on the long straight, with me in the lead, when I glanced at my tire indicator and noticed they were orange. I presumed that the others tires were orange too, but later I would find out they were on the way to red! I pulled into the pits to change, however the others stayed out. Unwise! As I rolled out I was in last place with a lot of time to make up. As I leaped over the crest (you know the one) I saw a spun out Toyota Minolta in the grass. Then as I went along the track I saw more and more spun out cars just off the track. By now I was in 3rd place on the last lap, coming to the Karrusell. There was my team-mate in the other XJR9. I tucked in behind him as we went round, but halfway round he spun off the Karrusell giving me 2nd place! Just one more car now. Fortunately, I saw him in the distance going up the long straight. I was coming up behind him at 200 but even at that speed I could see he was having a hard time keeping the car on the road. I put maximum throttle into it, and was only just catching up. Fancy driving a LeMans car with pure red tires at 220MPH! I pulled beside him, but he was wobbling. This was dangerous so I backed off. Then, he wobbled too much, hit the grass and was spinning in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and locked the tires as his front bumper came within one inch of mine, still spinning. Eventually he was going fairly slowly now, so I swerved around him. I went the rest of the track and won!
