ok i got a supra rz from the used car place and i bought parts and on the 1/4mile it did around 10 sec. and thats horribly slow for a supra, compared to the skyline and 3000GT VR-4 who can easily do 8-9 without changing the settings. well yeah does any one know why its not as good? mabey some advice?

Sorry to be blunt, but these are the most obvious

Skyline and 3000 = 4WD
Supra = 2WD

the supra was never designed to be a drag car. it's not a mustang

the reality is, if you have a 700 hp supra, it's going to run low 10's. you might get 9's out of it. i have raced a couple supra's IRL, and well. this is the realistic side of it.

With the right tuning you can get a supra to do a pretty respectable drag, my current best is a 8.9 with the rz so its not that bad

Its obvious why its not as fast as a Skyline or a 3000GT, those two cars are 4WD, Supra isn't, duh.

i think that it depends on the supension you have. i have an rz also fully tuned with racing supension and there is no back wheel slip and it is extremely fast. my suggestion is to check the suspension and tires. that will give you more grip and shave a couple seconds or miliseconds off your time. it helped me a lot.
