Uhh... Wha?

Are you saying like what races should you enter with the Bmw or Supra, or which car would be better for which race?

I as well, do not fully understand your question.

Is the Supra that you mention the Toyota Woodone Tom's Supra JGTC '03 that costs $1.35 million? If so it can be used in the Japanese Hall in the All Japan GT Championship, plus a number of the Endurance races like the Grand Valley Speedway race. If I remember correctly this Supra eats its tires (though this could be due to my bad tuning). I think I liked the other JGTC Supra's better. Of course they are all expensive:yuck:

Is the BMW M3 that you mention the BMW M3 GTR Race Car '01? If so its a very nice car and can be used to good advantage in the Dream Car Championship in the Extreme Hall, and quite a number of other places that do not restrict you to production cars.

Respectfully,

Agreed,if your're looking for a JGTC car go for either the Nissan Xanavi Nismo GTR or Takata Dome NSX. Don't buy the Motul Pitwork Z,you'd win one later on in the game.

BMW M3 GTR=Awesome Car!!!It can be used in a few European Races,The Bmw one make race,The Capri Rally for quick cash(cheap but well...),the JGTC cup(if you're good),the Dream Car Championship, the Grand Valley Enduro, the Suzuka Enduro, the Ring 24 hours enduro,Languna Seca enduro...

All without switching to sports tires, doing so gives you even more races like El Capitan Enduro...

Don't buy the Takata Dome, buy the Mobil1 model. Its just as fast around a circuit but doesn't spin out all the time. The Takata Dome is probably the hardest JGTC car to drive.

I always buy the Castrol JGTC Supra as i like the Livery. But the Denso Sard is supposed to be the best Supra overall, go with that one if you want a Supra. *I have no evidence to support that, other than i read it 2 or 3 times on this forum*

As for the M3 GTR race car, there is no events it can really compete in. The only one i think it is suited for is the Nurburgring 24 hour (or is it the 4 hour...). In most races you're either going to outrun your opponents and therefore it would be too easy, but there are races where the AI have faster cars than you like the JGTC championship. I havn't tried it with this car myself though.

All of the JGTC cars are nearly equal in terms of performance. However, the Motul Z, the Xanavi GT-R and the Woodone Supra all three stand out of the bunch because they have slightly more power, and thus they can be driven faster around a circuit. My personal favourit is the Woodone, it outscores by far the other JGTC Supra in terms of handling and overall feel on the road. The Takata NSX is my personal favourit in terms of looks, but it has too much delay during gear shifts, and the revs seem to vibrate throughout the lower numbers to make this car as fast as the other three forementioned JGTC racers. As for tyre wear; tyre wear on the Woodone should not be an issue because this car is very quick whilst reserving the tyres.

Oh yeah, the handling is screwed up in the PAL version, sorry about that

Is the car ok to drive in the other versions? (is it even in the other versions? :S)

Its probably the only car that mimics the handling shown in GT5P. you turn full lock at any amount of throttle and you spin, simple as that. Can be problematic on the 130R on Suzuka, and the fast left hander on Tokyo R246. Both are used in licenses or missions which is VERY annoying.

I always liked the Penzoil Nismo Skyline, the one with full yellow livery. I liked it in GT3 and i liked it in GT4. Its always the first JGTC i buy, followed by the Castrol Supra.

Here's a post discussing Mission 26 that should explain everything.

I have an explanation for why PAL drivers think this mission is so hard. It isn't because the AI cars are placed inconveniently, but rather because the car is much twitchier in the PAL version.

In NTSC (My own run, which would rank first on GTRP despite being far from perfect):

In PAL (alhajoth's run; he's a skilled driver and uses a wheel, and yet the car almost spins out a couple of times):

The disparity in the car's handling affects license test S-8, as well: the full-lap test at Tokyo. There as well, PAL drivers complain of the car very easily spinning out.

I did read that post, but that first vid is poor quality and i thought it was the Mobil1 NSX

So its the handling thats different... dammit i hope PD keep GT5 the same in each game (maybe the odd few region exclusive cars like they have done in the past, but please, be the same game... the online leaderboards would suck if a car in one version was harder to drive or quicker than in another.

Unless you slap a stage 4 turbo in them to double their power...

I have won both the JGTC (10/10) and the Dream Car Championship (9/10 won, the Zonda beat me at Seoul) with the M3 GTR Race Car and it's quite an easily handling car when you fix up the suspension settings on the car, they are absolutely horrid on default! But they are allowed ANYWHERE where there are no restrictions (like era, tyres, etc.).

After making that post i went out and did those events with it aswell and won both, with no tuning adjustments :D (Well, i used R2 tyres instead of R3 on a couple of the races)

I lost on the beginner circuit to the Zonda by about 2 seconds in the DCC :banghead: But i won the rest of the races. I crashed into the pit wall at one point which led to my defeat.

In the past i always used to use the Nismo Z LM race car for the JGTC, but that car is overkill, expecially in the PAL version where it has ~600 horsepower.

I'm glad you did it seismica, and hope you enjoyed it. The BMW has 473hp after oil change with no other mods and after some suspension tuning can go about 2 seconds a lap quicker from my tests. It's really the best car to go after the JGTC cars AND still have a competitive race. 👍
