Recently I became extremly bored with GT4, i have acheived (almost) everything... all missions, every race, only 8 gold licences still elude me.

So I decided to sell off my entire garage and start again.

This time i was going to do it right, instead of racing off to see the quick way to earn money, i wanted to enjoy every race, every lap, every corner of my new GT4 experience!

So, no with no cars in my inventory i set out to find my "first car"... then i came across a brilliant idea... to do every manufacturer's Event race before moving on to the "conventional" GT races.

Off to Daihatsu i go!!! My first race is the Copen Series... had a blast, managed to get the rear end out a few times with the E-Brake around corners, smoked the front wheels a few times etc etc... won a Sirion X4... ok, lets sell it... ... 💡 ... hmmm, i think i remember one of these from GT2 as a rally car?! Lets mod it all the way and see what this ugly little aqua coloured beast goes like!!!

HOLY CRAP STICKS!!!! This is one F R E A K I N G - A W E S O M E little rally car!!! "WOW" does not some this thing up... i took it for a few laps around Cathideral Rocks (Short)... managed a best lap of 1:10.670... pretty damn impressive for a car with only 187hp! 👍

But that's not even the start of it... this thing can hold 110 degree rally drifts around corners extremly confidently and still power away with great speed... 110 degree is basically taking a corner backwards.

I'm yet to try this car out on snow, but if it's only half as good as it's dirt performance i'll be most impressed!!!!

Please, do yourself a favour... don't die miserably in the cobwebs of trying to make every car go 300mph... get sideways in a crappy little japanese s**tbox!!!!!! 👍

I wouldn't say that chasing 300mph is miserable.. especially not when you finally achieve it ina car that is just like any other. Racecars then.. well, from my point of view, forget them. roadcars are more fun.

I also remember Sirion Rallycar, it was a beast with 420-500 bhp if I recall right, like that Toyota Celica rallycar concept. Wicked machine.

BUT.. what settings did you have? post them here, otherwise this will be moved to race reports.

Try the Daihatsu Move SR-XX 4WD '97. Tune it to the max and put some Racing Soft tyres. I managed to beat a 200-A-spec point race, against a Subaru Impreza Coupe R. At George V Paris, hard, both ways.

Back OT... anyone else found some cars that fit into this sort of section?!
... you know the type.. the ones you usually sell straight away cause they are just underpowered, or ugly, or you don't ever need them in a race?

NICE! Daihatsu is proving to be more than worth what we take them for... i gave my Midget D-Type a really slippery setup and managed to hold a burnout with drifting every corner for the whole of autumn ring mini... then i decided to get it airborn, i'll post a pic tomorrow in the Pic's forum
