Post about any in-game surprises you have experienced while playing GT2 (either disc).

A couple of my surprises:

1. Driving my stock Mazda Cosmo Type-E '94 at the Test Course in Arcade Mode, and an Altezza RS200, TT and something else keeping up with me while tearing along at 270+ km/h

2. The said car above comes under the 'B' class (it has 274hp, 1640kg, rear-wheel drive)

Yep, it's not as fast as a R34 GT-R though. I found Arcade race hard in the Stock Celica show car concept, or the bottom spec TVR Cerbera in the S class, it had just over 300Bhp and it was against the Cobra coupe and the 400GT, Storm GTL ect.

Many of the prize cars were a suprise to me, I didn't start to use a guide for well into the game, and I had'nt seen a car list for the game.

Yeah, I didn't use a prize car guide until a fair way into the game. I got my guide from here

I think the last true surprise prize car I got was the R30 silhouette Formula, I had no idea it wa in the game, I looked at a guide shortly after that when I was after the Speed 12.

Yeah, one of the last 'unknown' prize cars I got was the R30 Skyline, then I printed off a prize car and race list.

Another surprise is that a stock (read: STOCK) Mazda 323F Coupe 2000 does 245km/h (153mph)!!!

the totally stock 57hp toyota prius will reach 185k/h, and get this, it's only got one gear. (CVT)

the honda logo also features one of these trasmissions. fully modified (around 200hp) it makes quite a weird drive.

The stock Vector W8 Twin Turbo's got 3 gears. A race-tranny gives you 5.

A Subaru Pleo has 7 gears with a race tranny.

The Demio A-spec has the most annoying Racing muffler.

The Ford GT40 "Special" comes with dirt tires.

The Mugen-tuned del Sol CR-X III is the only prize car that gets awarded in two different events.

There's two different 240SX Fastback Type X '96 cars in the used lots.

The Max Speed Test should be avoided at all costs.

Every month, someone asks where and when they can find the Impreza 22B.

The Spoon Civic Type-R is still over-rated.

When I bought a Honda Logo, it had 2 gears. Is that what you're talking about (a 2-speed CVT)?

Yes, I know what that says, but I know where you find the 22B, but WHEN can you get it  I really want the car, you see

It's along the lines of every other 10 days, but I think I've heared someone say it was every 50 days. I've never had trouble getting one when I wanted it.

1. Not really, it's just another Kei car.

2. If you have an NTSC version, it's likely you'll suffer the Garage Bug if you save too many results. If you have the PAL version, don't worry about it.

3. Do a search, it only appears on 6 different 10-day intervals thorughout the game (within a 600-day span, that is). I forget the days, but it does show up twice within the first 60 days, I think. Once you cure the understeer, it's not a bad car, but it took me a while to get used to it.

Getting all golds in the "S" License and being awarded the GT-One '99. That was my happiest moment of the game.

I drove thru the wall on laguna seca with a 4wd it is at the beginning of the track on the right side . you will see these corners on the wall around the start line when you drive into the angle then you can often go thru the wall then drive forever
it also works on 2 player

Ah, good. I don't need to worry about that.

300ZX Turbo '98 does 291km/h+ (182mph+), when the car info screen says it is limited to 248km/h (155mph)!!!

Nah, they probably don't - the limiter was probably lifted on all games apart from the Japanese version.
