(Suspended) Shark's Muscle Mayhem Series Saturday Races Will run a lobby August 11 about 4pm central timeOpen

The first race weekend is planned for August 10th at around 3PM USA Central Time (may adjust a little based on interest and availability of drivers)

We would be doing 2 races a month or so working around a charity league I am that runs in the afternoon on Saturdays.

The ideal plan for this series would be to run 8 muscle cars and 8 pony cars every race with a championship for each class. With the possibility of having teams with a car or 2 in each class or just having teammates in the same class. This is something that will likely have a poll run to answer these questions with the people that end up joining.

I recommend standard tire compound with a PP limit. Never really liked that softer tires the same tire group increases your PP rating. Softer tires are not always an advantage. Grip levels for this time period. I would go with Sports Hards. As for branding you can claim Goodyear all you want. Tires in GT7 are officially base on Michelin tire compounds. And custom brakes are Brembo. So yes the tires are French and the brakes Italian.

I did my testing with the soft compounds and was getting pretty close lap times across all the cars in each class. My thought on leaving it open to all compounds of sport for pony and all race for muscle was to let drivers play with where they want to focus their PP. I also thought of just making it medium compound only. So I’m open to the community’s feedback.

I do understand that the sponsorships don’t change the actual brands of the tires or brakes. I was going with some of the race cars might have been from barn finds or survivors from the 60s-70s and the series was kind of taking place in the early-mid 90s and at least around me guys driving cars like these or racing locally would have been buy American types. That being said I’m open to relaxing/eliminating any sponsorship restrictions.

I knew you want you series branding to look professional but, I going to suggest throw that entirely. Not everyone has the time or patience to put the precisely install custom number plates and series markings. Some people just want to race. I didn't run any custom liveries this season myself.

The only reason asked players to the light cover mandate. To try to reduce the chances of Gr.1 and Gr.3 incidences in low visibility conditions. Other than I just ask players not to run something that will could get us in trouble and not to offend others players or Ferrari. I don't want to be the reason why someone pull their licensing.

I'm just making sure you understand what is what. Personally I like and support seeing these real world companies actually provide PDI data for their products to be used in Gran Turismo. And you know contribute more to the game than just money. This next update is supposed to include a tire psychics update. Meaning Michelin and PDI are still working on the tire models.

Why not the Dodge Challenger? It was used SCCA road racing. Which is kind of what I thought you were going for. By the way the Firebird can get to 360hp with installing supercharger?

I would offer to help with liveries and I actually have every car with the number board and the other required things already made so any just wanting a basic car could just get it from me and I could put the number they want.

Yes the newest update makes me a bit nervous about the liveries especially with the tires, I always go with Goodyear on my cars.

I might have missed the Challenger, it’s allowed actually it’s the muscle car in the pictures I believe.

I can’t remember the exact power I got it to but it was in competitive with the others and right at the PP limit with the power I got it to.

Because of lack of interest this will be suspended. Also with the update there are a few issues with doing setups and I have noticed a couple of the Muscle Cars might be affected by the glitch.

However I will try to host lobbies when I can around the planned time on Saturdays. I also have a discord if anyone wants to join it. https://discord.gg/cCXrreW2

If anyone reading wants more info just reach out here or discord. Also can show what I have installed on any car and also the setup(although I am not great at doing setups, so that might not be as helpful as you think.)

Idk if anyone is following this thread but I plan on opening a lobby to drive these cars in. Don’t need to be completely to the rules in the book. Plan is to run a few races in the pony cars and a few in the muscle cars. So as long as you fit the PP and weight limits in each you will be good. The pony cars have a power limit to meet as well.

Lobby will be open to all but if you want to add me my PSN is poolshark3436
