Suzuka 750PP Standard Race

I find this race difficult, and its not like I don't have any money for good cars either.
Everyone seemed to use the GT LM spec II race car, and who did have one, would mostly in my case, win.
So as you do I jumped on the bandwagon, bought one and hated it, even with a set up.
So I hear you say, use the Clio V6/tuned. I have and I don't use it any more, as it seems to become a shunt magnet.
I like to use the Evo X/Tuned and the NSX-R as well as the F430.
I just find it annoying when everyone uses the GT LM, Clio Tuned, and that S2000 Amuse GT1. I surprise people by using "Underdog" cars, and I encourage others to do the same, as it really heats up the races.

go online and you make your money in no time

try the Z06 tuned easier to handle than the GT LM and pretty fast too

i use the Amuse now, i had always used the Evo X tuned, try it.. but its a lot slower than other cars

Thanks, I'll give the Z06/Tuned a go.
Nikkolaz, how is the Amuse, I would like to try it, but I don't like how many people have it.
Thanks for the advice though

Use underdog cars. It's more fun and easy. I would take an audi r8 down there and podium. That's showing that underdogs can kickass.

Give the Mine's R34 GT-R a try as well.
To pass a Ford GT LM with a fairly standard set up in the Mine's GT-R is quite a testament of driving skill in its own way.

i win every race with lotus 111/R. i often use low hp, low weight ( 250hp 600kg) just for a challenge. 1 55's in free run are a good start

However when I see people using the 111R/Tuned, they are quick in the corners, but are crushed on the straights. Once again people like ramming this car. I once started a race and on every corner the guy in his unfortunate 111R was just being shunted off, probably because it was slower than other cars in the mostly straight parts of Suzuka. I certainly know the 111R is quick on laptimes, but in a race its seems to be far from it. I'll give it a try though, I just love the underdog cars.:)

well you could lower you pp and start in front and run away, OR dont pass on the outside and upshift before someone smashes you in the ass.

I love using underdog cars. And i'm prettey good with them. Crushing a ford gt in a nsx is not something u see a lot. But i did it.

Good. The lotus 11/R Tuned is even better. It creams fod gt lm's at suzuka.

It's Prologue, and there are only so many cars.

The time will come when we will be buried in a sea of cars, and you will be shocked to see two people driving the same car.

The 650 class does provide more variety as to what is competitive.

Some tweaks to the base PP of some of these cars would be nice to help balance the field.

Thats a good point, i suspect when the full GT5 arrives there will be a massive array of cars to race against, then it will be upto driving skill rather than car knowledge. I also suspect, that the online part of GT5 will be very quiet for the first week GT5 comes out, as most people will be playing the computer. :sly:

Good point, I fully appreciate that. I know for sure that in the full GT5 people will use any car and be pretty competitive. The 650PP Expert class seems to my eyes, NOT to offer more variety, as reading a few other threads, confirmed my fears of the Clio Tuned being overused, for easy wins.
