Suzuka and Fuji

I think there wont be reverse. These circuits are mode for FOREWORD racing only. If it's not in real life, don't include it in game. But I would love to see more variation from SUZUKA circuit, There are many turns that are not used, so I would love to set it up manually what to turn on and off.

Reverse Suzuka is pretty tricky actually, we used to do that all the time in the 550pp rwd suzuka last refresh. Run 5 laps, then turn around before the finish and run 5 backwards, then run the 5 forwards again... was great. Completely different track when driven backwards.

Won't happen. Real tracks have never had a reverse direction in any GT game.

They do run a portion of Fuji backwards, for the D1 drifters. They shapes of the corners aren't as good for drifting in the forward direction.

That said, most if not all real circuits are copyrighted designs, and part of that design is the direction of travel. It's almost blasphemy to run it backwards.

Also, in real life they would have to build run-off areas and proper safety barriers for the reverse direction.

There's only one variation of Suzuka which is not used in GT5:P, that variation being the "west course" which was seen in GT4. Oh, there's also the motorcycle course which is only slightly different from the ordinary full course.

I think in GT5 it will be possible, considering the rumors of even a track builder...
But for me, I don't think it's needed. I don't feel the need to race Fuji or Suzuka backwards. I guess it isn't done in real time neither.

That's a good point about run-off areas. Running Suzuka backwards makes you have a couple turns that would be suicidal in real life. Dunlop comes to mind... that would be a really dangerous turn in RL when ran backwards.

It's a license issue more than anything i believe, the circiut owners won't license the course to be run in different variations to real life.

As another user said, i wouldnt have any desire to drive those tracks backwards, i dont like racing the fantasy tracks in reverse, more often they are designed in one direction and very few have a good flow when raced in either direction

Only time I can think of reverse on Suzuka is on D1 drifting, even then it's just the esses section of the track.

'Tis the same with Fuji. D1GP use the twisty back section in reverse because of the elevation.

You guys talking about reverse directions have got me thinking. Seeing how there has been talk( Criptic Amar post) about the inclusion of a 'Track Builder" in GT...I realized that PD might have the idea to use parts from existing tracks but just in the reverse direction as extra options when building your own track.👍
It's just an idea what do you guys think?
