Im abit confused about this car!

It has a very high Bhp, bout 1060 when fully tuned with oil change.
It is 800kg, lighter than many of the fast race cars.
And torque and rpm is also gud!

So why is this car so bad for racing? It has terrible understeer and top speed of like 190mph! So why is it so disappointing?

I believe it is called a "dirt car".

I'm wondering if you take it on Chamonix, if you can still beat it with something else?

The Escudo reminds me of Pokemon for some reason.

Remember how bad-ass Charizard was when the games were first created and now its just around the middle tier in terms of who is best? The Escudo falls into that category.

You couldn't beat it with anything in GT4. :grumpy:

And no, it's not a rally car - it's a dirt car. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirt_track_racing for a rough description of what it is. :D

Is it not a hill climb car? which is especially a genre of rally, Pikes Peak being the most famous venue for this kind of racing.

EDIT: LOL! if you look on the right hand side of that wiki link there is actually a picture of the escudo (or something very similar) all be it not the exact same model  apparently it's a record breaking hillclimber?

If you would've read the descriptions, you'd know it was used in the 1998 Pikes Peak to win the unrestricted class, which Suzuki has dominated for a long time. I'm still confused why they didn't add the '96 Cultus which was in GT2.

Well...I don't expect a lot of us could remind ourselves the purple painting scheme of that car.

Purple or not, that car looked very good. Didn't it have two separate motors?

What I meant was not a lot of people remembered the car so it's not that confusing not to include the Cultus or whatever it's called. If he did not mention this car, I won't bring the Cultus up to mind under an Escudo thread.

That wing surely overshadows that from the Escudo lol

And yes, the Cultus had 2 engines.

That's Escudo's son.

U ask why this car is so bad for racing.. well its not bad for racing at all. I can have same lap time with that one as 905. 787b sauber c9 atleast rly close. So this isent a bad race car at all u just have to change the settings. Since its tuned to rally

Escudo's son!! whats its name?:)

Suzuki Sport XL7 Hill Climb Special.

He had a son called Suzuki SX4 - Pikes Peak, which makes it Escudos grand son :dopey:

You can tell from comparing both pics that Monster Tajima is in fact just a cardboard manikin.

its hella fun to drive though, and using the gears correctly is minimises the issue of turbo lag.

its a great car! pikes peak should be added to gt5

Ohh!:D Awsome info:)

Would like to add for the one who asked abut turbo lag.. Just imagen a small 2.5 liter engine with 1000 bhp. The turbo is probely Humagus and heavy to rotate. So think it need tons of RPM to push enough exhaust to make the turbo roll.

But who race with low rpm eny way?

I love the Escudo. I managed to get a wonderful tune and it handled supremely well.

Then, I woke up.

when in doubt, compare to pokemon
