You guys wanna Viper race right now (My first race will be crappy, been racing a top secret 750 PP car ;) )
 
Oh I give up, I never meet GTP racers (or any other board) during the week anymore. This weekend race better be the best in history.:P
 
Just a quick and rather odd question, I was checking the links at the first post for the dodge setups, and the L-tune link seems to redirect me to a youtube monaco GP tribute video?

This happen to anyone else.

Haha, woops, I dont know how that happened. I must thought I had clicked copy on the url, when it hadnt. Ah well, its fixed now.

Edit: Awesome race, managed to get the jump on the two Evo X's at the end ;)
Sorry to anyone who may have got hit by me, I had people asking me to record programmes on the video recorder half way through racing...multi-tasking is not my greatest attribute.
 
We need more viper drivers in there, First race i come round the corner and find a clio parked, bang hit him, then he lags around all over the place causing mayhem, then on the last lap silver audi r8 wont let me pass down the straight.

I wondered where you had gone, I didnt see you except for the first corner mayhem, then I was battling idiots.
 
Last race we had was pretty good, my first one in the cup and my first win :). It seems relatively clean at the front not sure about further down the pack.

Well, except for that really annoying guy in the R8 and the guy in the M3 who came at the end and bashed me off....preventing me from placing 3rd or 4th.
 
Yea the R8 didn't look to nice from what i saw. I was sure even though you'd over ran a little when i was on the defence, that you'd come out behind me. I assume he hit you which is why you went wide? I only had one tap with pendle i believe at the start and grabbed a penalty. Rest i got clean completely.
 
^Yeah, I have no idea why though, surely they'd hate this track more than Suzuka?

Well, this has taught me a lesson, we are not holding the next cup at Fuji. Suzuka is far less annoying with idiots for some reason.
 
Answer is simple, Suzuka has alot more ways of getting out the race, so much more grass and sandtraps. Fuji has much more room to stay on track and keep up so the punters and idiots can keep up without neccessarily being any good.

Well, yes and no. Fuji is a lot more demanding in my opinion on driver skill. You've got to be a lot more careful with the throttle and your braking points than Suzuka and it isnt a particularly fast-feeling track. I would have thought that the idiots are only in it to drive fast and win, but maybe I'm wrong and they just want to piss off as many people as possible.

I've had enough ramming for tonight, maybe even for this week. I might get the tuners to build some setups again for PP500 Suzuka, because that track and PP seemed a lot more fun and had less idiots. We were also more likely to connect with each other, now it seems we can only get 3 or 4 people in.

I just pulled over and quit earlier,Im sorry but GTP_Dukeof EVO was bashing me everywhere and also another GTP member driving a yellow nsx? Not to mention the punters. :ill:

This is a very astute observation of an absolute online truth. I almost always finish either top 4 or last two, unless the track is populated solely by tags. If I get in front of the punters it's easy to stay up there but one mistake and I end up back in noob hell being bashed around like a puppy in a tumble dryer. There's a line that almost all of these idiots can't get past. It's like the surface of a swamp - one side is clear air and the other is icky.

Plus the racing line to get through the track fastest requires you to take some corners very open and cut in and some idiots think that means you are leaving them room on the inside to overtake and use you as a wall to get through.
