Plus the racing line to get through the track fastest requires you to take some corners very open and cut in and some idiots think that means you are leaving them room on the inside to overtake and use you as a wall to get through.

Yeah right.... they use your car to slow them down & turn.... I hate that move :ouch:

+1 Pretty much all Fuji's corners are like this, makes it hard to race fast without getting bashed.

Last turn before the straight on Fuji..... I will never take it too large on the last lap again.... got punted 2 times last night again :grumpy:

Best to slow down a bit and defend the inside line when racing. I make a lot of legit passes against people who drive the fastlane on any bend. Bear in mind that if I nip in front it doesn't matter how much speed you've carried through the corner, I have the line and all you can do is slow down and follow me :sly:

*edit* - oops just realised you were talking about the last corner of fuji - disregard that statement - because of the straight obviously you'll have the drop the faster you can come out

I shall be racing tonight, but not in the Viper. I'll be at Suzuka the fifteen min intervals. Just getting used to GT again after playing GTA4 for the last few days! Already had a bad race tonight at 600PP Suzuka though, Spanish punters out in force :(

Sorry to either GTP_Dollaghan or GTP_Racer_LP, Im not sure which now, Too many races since, :) Who ever it was we traded paint gently and you got a penatly by the looks of it, So i got of the racing line and gave your position back. Again, sorry. 👍

We taking votes on next weeks chariot yet?

If so let me be the first to nominate GTlm 750pp suzuka

Count me out right away if the GT LM is picked, hate using the fastest car in class. But i think 750 is the way to go this time.

If there's one car in the game that requires racing tyres I'd say the GT was it - I drive R2/R3 on all my 750pp M/R's anything else just slows you down for no good reason I can put my finger on. Use as many aids as you like - but don't expect me to slow down for ya ;)

Depends on the tuners. I was planning on running this along side the tuner showdowns, and still intend to as a sort of practice place for the showdowns and also for people that cant/wont race in the showdowns to have a chance racing the tunes or challenging the tunes with their own.

However, Fuji really stinks for online racing, partly because of the amount of bashers and partly because of the nature of the circuit. I agree with what others have said that the racing lines on Fuji give the rookie drivers the wrong impression and think they are being invited to take the inside, when thats the slower and weaker line (except if you bash or ride against others).

I think this will stay as a Viper Cup for next week, but we race at Suzuka instead, some small changes in the gears and a couple of suspension settings are only needed to adapt most of the tunes to Suzuka. In fact, the Viper tunes seem fairly good as they are at Suzuka, from what Ive tested.

Ah, yous are still at Fuji? I was bumbling along at Suzuka today in my Audi TT wondering why there were no GTP racers at the 15 min intervals. I wasn't bothered about the Viper cup, I just wanted some good racing because it isn't easy to find at the mo...

Agreed, I got some nice feedback via PM on the Viper and how it performs on Suzuka. Some slight gear changes are probably enough. :)

Ok, updated first post, this week its still a Viper Cup and we're now racing at Suzuka PP600, same joining times as before. Hopefully see some of you tonight!

I am sat here with my finger on the throttle ready & rareing to go. :nervous:

The stupid French tool who is host keeps bumping everyone and when he ends up last he quits

And,

Why Are There Very Few Vipers Amongst The GTP'ers?

I'm coming at xx:00, viper at the ready :)

Sorry Grim, after you hit me i lost it and collected you in my spin. I had little to no control of the cars direction. Was my first drive of the night.

Sorry, if you were waiting for me. Got caught up doing a few jobs at home. May be on later.

Raced against a bunch of GTP racers tonight at Suzuka, though not many were in Vipers. Including myself, I was in my black Audi TT.

Some really dodgy racers though, some south african guy in an Impreza and a Spanish racer in a Mitsubishi Evo, both were giving me and others grief. I think a few GTP racers came a cropper because of them.

Still not enjoying the online racing at the moment, the tyre rules seem to have brought down the red mist on so many racers.

If you can try racing early morning with the GTP guys there are few others around at that time.

Count me the 🤬 in!

I'm on 750 suzuka in either a GTlm or Amuse most nights anyway. So I won't have far to go :sly:

Racing against a full pack of GTP_tags all driving these is, like, my wildest fantasty crossed with all I want for christmas, crossed with kelly brook and then covered in treacle!

Luckily for you, that has happened in this event a couple of times before. And yes, it was awesome, but every time I always screw up somewhere and I'm never in contention with the top boys like Dragonistic and Timppaq, but at least I always find great competition lower down the field :)

The Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car is fine by me, I've just started giving it the DC treatment yesterday. ;) :P

I been online the last two days, from 7uktime til about 9 and never seen a gtp tag yet :(

Where is everyone? Honestly guys, you gotta believe me, I know all the plebs drive them but don't let that put you off - these things are mindbendingly fun.

Give it a bash - you won't be disappointed 👍

Ive not been around because my game disc has cracked and I have to go buy a new copy, probably wont be online till next week. (I will have a copy of GT5P again by weekend, but MGS4 coming out means I have a few, um, distractions :sly:)
