svchost?

I had a look at my processes just now after playing a game and found 4 svchosts. Can anyone care to explain what the hell this is?

basically, you need this to run different services from dll files under 2000/XP.

One of the services is W32TIME, which keeps track of the time. If you disable the Svchost that runs W32TIME, your clock will not run. So, it's important that you do not disable Svchost.
