So, after YEARS of using the PS3 controller for all the GT games, I'm purchasing a playseat w/ the Logitech G27. I read an article a day or two ago talking about how the "controller users" would have a disadvantage over the "steering wheel users"....and well, it sorta got me scared, lol. I have adapted well w/ the controller IMO. Before the leaderboards got deleted on here...I had a few tops spots on the G. Canyon rally and the Mercedes 290 Mission. To the point already.....does anyone who owns a G27 or G25 steering wheel have any advice for my transition? It's been a lonnng time since I was last on these forums...try not to flame me too bad.

Only one - accept the fact that you won't be beating your old times for a while. It's extremely frustrating to know what you should be doing but not to be able to actually do it. Don't start with the fastest cars, you'll have enough trouble with the slower ones in the beginning, and personally I found that I had to learn to drift before being able to drive fast again because catching the sudden slides is the hardest thing with a wheel compared to a controller.

Eventually you'll crack it and leave your old times into the dust, just don't expect to do it during the first days or even weeks. 👍
