I find this last bit of the press release ... amusing:

Which part is amusing?

That they put together a huge party and spent tons of money for a bunch of industry insiders while ticking off thousands of people (read customers) who effectively paid for the event or that they're expecting SuperCar Challenge to be released in quarter 1 2009 or that XboX Magazine's Mike Channell won the first prize in what will be a PS3 exclusive.

Either way I found the whole thing highly ironic. In an amusing sort of way.

What I find "amusing" is that in System 3's own self-description their latest game is missing.

You know the sad bit is, at this point, I doubt you guys in Europe will even get the FFB patch. Forget about fixes for collapsing lobbies and on-line stuttering.

I guess if SuperCar Challenge fixes these problems and truly delivers I'll be satisfied enough. But I doubt we'll see it in Q1 of 09. Most likely Q2 or even Q3.


EDIT: Probably won't see you tonight or even the next. Lots of family business to attend to. But I will be off the 25th through the 28th. I'll make the time!

I don't mind the FFB, but the online issues bother me a lot. SCC has a chance if it comes out a few months before GT5, However, if S3/eutechnyx fail on supporting FC, I won't buy SCC after release, I'll probably wait to check on players feedback and patches V1 and V2. If GT5 is still to be released at that moment ... that'll be when I buy SCC.

Well the key questions are (assuming it still has FC, or better, physics): what will it look like, will they be able to fix the FC glitches, & when will it come out?

I don't believe it will appear Q1!

Who knows, I might be stuck on the team doing the DLC for FC just because its an old project so I can't mess anything up (I'm going to be applying for an industrial placement year, so I'm guessing they won't give me stuff thats too important).

i see your point. They wouldn't place their no1 team on developing content for loyal customers that have already bought the game. What do they call them type of customers...... Is it mugs?

Lol snap, am hoping for my placement there, but not for another year and a half.

As the beta testing is starting soon I imagine the game can't be too far off 100% build.
