T-GT II Help

I have a few questions as I’m new to having a wheel.

I bought a Thrustmaster T-GT II for GT7. The first question is that should I still update the firmware / drivers on the PC for the wheel for GT7 PS5 even though it’s on a console?

Now relating to this question, I have a MacBook only and I don’t own a Window’s PC and apparently if I’m not mistaken you need a Window’s PC to do updating for the wheel? Is that right? I have no idea lol.

Some one help me please, much love and respect <3

I don't own one but I know the TGT has updatable firmware which will still be active when connected a console. It'll probably work just fine without doing so but it might be best to update it if you can. There could be new fixes or features - the website will usually say what they've done.
The drivers are PC specific, so have no effect on console.

As for the Mac/PC problem... I don't really have an answer to that. Perhaps you could borrow a laptop? Someone else might have an idea.

Congrats on your new wheel. It’s been a while since there have been any Thrustmaster firmware which have any direct effect on console.
The latest update concerns connection and detection of the pedals to the wheel base.

To update firmware you will (unfortunately) need a computer running Windows.

There’s a bunch more info on the Thrustmaster support site.

Have fun racing and tinkering.
