Hi guys, first post here.
I have bought a broken t300 base and I'm now trying to fix it. I saw some other helpful posts on this site regarding t300 bases and it having issues, so I thought why not make a post.
I have attached a video of what happens when I plug in the base into my laptop which has the correct drivers and recognizes the base. The base looks like it wants to calibrate but can't and its stuck even though I have checked the motor and it spins freely. This base had no motor / hall mount sensor so I had to put it on myself from another base. I have soldered the motor to the motherboard (not sure how to call it) and did the same with the hall mount sensor since the cables were broken. I have ensured that the wiring is correct and even though the soldering is a bit dodgy it should be just fine. The base also makes some very odd sounds.
