I booted up GT5 this week for some nostalgia and after racing for a while today my wheel started making this noise during driving and continued after I went into the menu.

I wasnt using it too much today and I thought 1 car might have caused it but i happened again on another. I can feel it in the wheel too so im guessing its a ffb issue but I don't really know.

You need to open it, hold the fan so it will stop and see if the noise still there.

Im not sure if i can do that because it takes 20-30 minutes or more to get it to start making that noise (tried it again today). I do feel something when i have my hand on the wheel, whether the fan would produce a slight vibration feeling in it or not idk

You could try putting your fan into Forced Cooling Mode (if it isn't already), so if the noise starts straight away afterwards it will mean it's the fan.

This helped diagnose it so much, as soon as i put it on it made the noise right away. Ill be replacing the fan as soon as i get it in the mail so thanks!

Put in a new fan now and seems good.
I also tried tightening the belt a hair while i had it opened up.

AC on my PC and seems good. GT5 Felt a bit off, almost as if there was no ffb feeling around the centre (no kerb feel, light steering) but idk if thats the way it was before or not.

EDIT: Welp I am pretty sure I just destroyed this wheel, i loosened it a bit to try and see what would happen and it screamed like a banshee.

I tightened it up and it was off by about 1.3 degrees so I manually set the centre on it. It worked for a short time after but not it sits and tries to calibrate but doesnt boot up.

I understand its completly my fault and not the wheels, the wheel felt fine to begin with and me screwing with something that wasnt broken blew up in my face.
