Hello all,
This has just started happening in the pass two days, just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem and might know what is going on.

When running in iRacing the accelerator pedal on the T500RS will completely quit working (brake and clutch still work). Some times it just quits functioning and the car just sits there other times when it stops functioning the in game throttle is stuck at maximum throttle.

Additionally, I racing has been freezing/locking up when I try to exit the simulation, the only thing I can do is shut off my computer and reboot to get out of it. Not sure if the two items are related but both appeared at the same time.

If I reboot and restart the game the accelerator will function properly for awhile then the same thing happens again. Everything works fine in GT5.

Running Windows 7 and in iRacing I have the following other items plugged in via USB - T500RS I have the TH8RS and a GS-4 seat.

I haven't raced in iRacing in awhile due to setting up my new rig, just started checking things out this week and have run into this problem. The only difference between now and when I was racing before my break were a lot of updates to iRacing and the addition of the GS4. Not sure what is causing the problem.

Anyone else have something similar happen? Have any clues what I can do to solve the problem?

Check the plug on the power supply box end of the mains lead. I had a similar issue a while back where the wheel would lose power for a moment due to a bad connection at the plug. When the plug made contact again , iracing didn't recognise any controller input and I'd have to reconfigure.

First time it happened the throttle suddenly stuck wide open and I had no steering. It seems that whatever the input was at the time the power was interrupted , the sim would hold that. I wasn't able to quit with any of the buttons on the wheel either.

Took me a while to figure it out as the power connection would only fail for a split second , and the light on the wheel and PSU would still be on when I checked them.

Check yours out , might be the same thing hopefully.

Thanks spinner, I'll check that out.

Sure you've tried this too. Reset the drivers with power on unplug USB to the wheel & pedal combo. Then plug back in. This fixed my pedal spiking and inconsistent full throttle. After this kept up over and over I eventually had to move the pot cam tooth up a notch. Also might want to reinstall firmware. I'm sure you've tried that too. Good luck, Vince

Vince, thanks for your help. I have tried your first suggestion. I haven't reinstalled the firmware (just checked to see if there was any new firmware) so I'll try that next.
