So, i bought this second hand t500rs for really cheap, it looks like new, it is almost unused, but while using it i could hear the belt scratching on something..i opened it and found the belt hitting the spot in the video when i turn the wheel to the right...is that normal? other than that noise the wheel seems normal..

Its normal. If you want, spray some silicone on the belts and gears. Then it will run/turn smoother with less noise and resistance.
WD40 is good or any other silicone spray. Do NOT use oil or fat.
And if you see little rifts on the belts, thats normal too. My t-gt have rifts on the belt after only 1 year in use. My old T500 had lot of big rifts after 8 years, but still works :)

Thanks for the reply dude, so you can assure me that this scratching noise against that spot is competely normal? It doesn't really bother me as the fan is way louder and i'm wearing a headset almost every time i play. It bothered me because i thought the belt would deteriorate due to the consistent scratching against that spot. Thank god there are no rifts haha, as i said, the wheel looks like new from the inside. Thanks again for the response.

Ohoh. That sound similar to mine last 2015. Check ur plastic belt wheel. If it not hitting the metal part. If its hitting the metal frame. Then there a missing bearing one of its side.

The other belt is not hitting anything

How about the one with the the motor below not the steering shaft. The one that beneath the motor the white plastic gear. If you can see if its hitting the metal wall. If you turn the wheel.

Well,if it missing a bearing. Sooner or later it will make a big hole on the plastic holder of the white gear. It will disalign the gear. And it will jump the teeth of the belt which lead to steering missalignment. But i hope. Its not that.

As i promise

Check if the white gear belt donot touch in the metal part or either side. If it does, one of the bearing in either side is missing.goodluck. If not. Then maybe you gonna put greese in there.

Would you say it's ok?

Hi,these one the plastic gear is touching the metal base. You can test it if you turn your wheel.you can hear the scratching coming from there.

Yes it shoudnot touch The side. Sry my friend if it touching then your missing a bearing. There is 2 bearing that hold the plastic gear. Im pretty sure that one is missing. I will give you the bearing number so you can buy it from a third party seller.

Thrustmaster dont have a bearing part. So you have to buy at a third party supplier. Like hardware store. Or bearing store

Just go to youtube and know how to diassemble the t500rs you will now where to put the bearing or the missing one.

The white gear that touching the metal. You have to disaasemble it. There should be a bearing in both side of the gear. But im sure one is missing.

i dont get it dog, how is it missing? the wheel was never opened before lol. and was used just once by the former owner

Even mine when i buy it second hand almost new also never been open. But no warranty. So i had no choice but to open it. When i diassemble it,that when i saw the messing bearing. Even asking the question, how com there no bearing. So i just buy the bearing and put it in. Until now the wheel is perfect,no jump teeth. And smooth.

Friends, as I understand you! I was dealing with T300 replaced the bearings it became as a new device. In the production put poor quality bearing, I assure you. I live in Belarus This does not matter I just said so. I heard that many have replaced bearings. On the Internet there is a video how to do it. Do not worry anything complicated !!!!! The main thing is not in a hurry and everything to do with a cold head and you will come to success!
