So I've spent many hours trying different settings already, more than I've spent actually racing.
These are by no means perfect, but this is the best I've felt in my opinion after trying multiple suggested settings, and tweaking on my own.

Note: TM profiler is set to Master: 60 Constant: 100 Periodic: 100 Spring: 0 Damper: 0 Auto Center: 12 (by the game)

Just thought this might help some of you out, but like I said, I'm sure it can get better as well so I'd love to see your favorite setups too. (arm angle was 0 by default with this car)

- Coming from Rfactor 2, GSCE, and Assetto Corsa as my top picks for FFB.

Will try these, not much experience with FFB settings but I'm just running the default ones at the minute.

Do I need to change any settings while the wheel is connected to the laptop?

I'm playing on PS4

Or alternatively, just use Jack Spade's tweaker files: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?22938-Jack-Spade-FFB-Tweaker-Files

I was getting frustrated trying to find a good feel with the UI on the T500, decided to stop mucking around. I now run the tweaker files (option 2) with all settings as described in the OP except 75% tyre force to avoid clipping. pCARS gives some of the best FFB out there on the T500 once you do that.

I'm guessing you mean the OP in the thread you posted?

I'm on ps4 and don't have a PC/laptop so can't download that file as it doesn't work with iPad

Yes, PC version (since this thread is discussing pCARS FFB versus PC sims).

For the PS4 I understand that you can use the UI per car and fill in the same values as in the tweaker files (which are a zip file containing a .xml file per individual car), but you would need a PC to unpack and view those files....

Yeah, you should be able to closely replicate my settings or the Jack Spade settings on the PS4 version, just will have to directly input the Jack Spade files.

I tried his last night but I will try again today as I left my master FFB settings as posted above, which felt worse than my settings.
As I have pictures of what mine are I will try the full on tweaker files later.
So much time spent tweaking, not enough spent racing!

Will try and input yours from the photo above tonight.

Thanks for posting tho, will let know my thoughts once done.

Have you all found these to be the ideal settings for the T500? I'm calibrating for my brother and won't have much time to test. My T300 feels pretty great straight out of the box.

I found them quite ideal, although I wouldn't say perfect they did seem to be a good base improvement for general settings.
To dig deeper I'd adjust the longitudinal and lateral down to the 40-60 rangeand vertical to the 60-90 range. Differs per car for sure, as some cars I've had the ffb dialed in to feel simply great while others felt like a lost cause.

Anyone getting an issue on a T500RS on PS4 where the centring spring only works 1 way?

As in the wheel forces it self back to centre when turning right but when turning left it doesnt force its self back?

have not had that problem used my wheel for about 5 minutes before it all went to crap .no steering in cars massive lag like five seconds to turn .snaps to the left after callabrating .or shakes likes its going to break .need to unplug it .all in all very disapointing for a game what was being polished . hopefully they get it sorted sooner than later with upcoming patch .that said the game itself has a lot of potential if they can get it working properly and iron out the bugs

Hi ya mate i was just about to order a Thrustmaster T500 RS GT wheel and pedals for my PS4 but now ive read this im not sure what to do its a lot of money if it doesnt work .What would you recommend is it compatible or not i keep hearing different things your help would be appreciated cheers

My T500RS just started shaking when going in a straight line today, no matter what car. The FFB seems to work like normal when the wheel is turned, but shakes violently every time it's straight (even when the cars is standing still - where the shaking continues regardless of the position of the wheel).

I've been using Jack Spades settings for Force Feedback, but even though I've now tried to reset the FFB setting in the garage menu and also tried resetting the settings under "Options & Help>Controls" in the main menu, I still have the problem.
I have also tried to exit the game and disconnect and reconnect the wheel again as well as restarting the PS4, but to no avail.

I know the T500RS have some problems in PCARS, but this is not the issue described in Thrustmasters statement, where the wheel shakes in the menus when not completely straight, as I'm not experiencing that (at the moment at least).
If anybody knows how to fix it, it would be really appreciated as the game has become unplayable.

EDIT:
The problem seems to have been caused by having 'Deadzone Removal Range' for the force feedback, set to anything more than 0.00 (even though I've previously had it at 0.05 with no problems). The wheel now seems to be working as before, though still with the glitches mentioned known by Thrustmaster.
