I love how yolo the last corner is on Cape, to start off with my car was to stiff so I was going into the hairpin on 2 wheels!

Furi went into the final hairpin backwards in a cloud of tyre-smoke.

And me, you, Smuffy, Dano (I think it was) and Sakery all had turns going head on in the wall

Can I be signed up anyways? I will probably, if not most likely, not be able to attend the first fourth to half of the season. Saturdays are more manageable now so I shouldn't be missing any races like last season. :)

I doubt it ;)

Yeah go on, if you want to i'll put you on a secondary entry list - by half way there's usually a space or two.

am i correct furi on the last post of the last page, also will there be a test session after nationwide on saturday?

Sorry for not staying for the rest of the night, a friend called me during the 1st test race (I had to call him back after it) to play football (soccer to the USA guys) and well.. I couldn't refuse the offer.

Anyway, I liked the test race, went from last to 4th (almost 3rd, damn you Atin!) and I'm slowly getting the hang of the turbocharged Civic. I won my first ever GTP league race with a NA Civic at Conti..

By the way Furi, a question: In BTCC, we are following the NGTC rules, right? Is there any saying in the rulebook that every car has to use a Turbo? Because I think the Civic would be a bit better by being NA then turbocharged. That's my opinion though.

think it's based on BTCC and the old TOCA games on the ps1 if i seem to recall, might be completely wrong though

Hmm. Guess I'll have to test the Golf again with the turbo then. Not sure it will boost my times by a full second though as Smuffy was much faster through the corners than I was in it.

So what are people's thoughts after yesterdays test on early proceedings?

EDIT: Still stuck in 1:20.3's consistently....

Went good. Happy with the way the car handles

I think it's good to have a number of new (and competitive, by the looks of it) cars to choose from. After 2 seasons with the same car, it gets a bit old otherwise.

Sounds like the Peugeot and the Ford might have to be restricted a bit more, but it should be easier to make them slower than having to make them faster.

The new turbo-rule adds some diversity in car-behaviour, but also difficulty in balance-of-performance terms, but I think it's a good thing, because some cars were really hampered by the combination of engine-characteristics and heavy restrictors. Resulted in having to drive them a couple of thousand rpm's below the red-line, with no real race-car feeling.

Sorry for bumping my post again, but I would like an answer for this from Furi.

Yep, the turbo's do affect car behavior as well with when they kick in.

Did a 19:1 with a bad tune in 5 laps. Golf is a winner.

Still stuck in 1:20.1 mark...

I just nicked the NGTC name :P  Civic stays turbocharged. Ideally I want turbocharged cars for nearly everyone. We got six turbocharged cars this season, there will be seven next season ;)
