I want to buy a DFGT wheel, but the only problem is that my computer table is opposite my HDTV facing the wall, therefore I wouldn't be able to use it to mount the DFGT! There is nothing else in my room that would come in handy either.

Can anyone recommend some sort of small table or stand that is perfect for mounting the DFGT wheel, please? I don't want to spend too much cash though. Thanks, I'd appreciate it.

PS. Something quite small, and easy to store.

You can find small TV or computer carts that can do the job. I used to just use a wooden TV tray and it did well enough, although in heated moments I tended to make it tip toward me. I'm not sure what kind of stuff would be available in your area, but check any discount furniture stores for something small and stable.

And while you don't want to spend a lot of money I highly recommend a Wheel Stand Pro, which I now own. It folds up nice and neat without needing to remove the wheel and I can store it under my hutch. While a bit pricey over $100 it is worth it in my opinion.

Thanks a lot FoolKiller.

One other thing, does anyone know the differences between Driving Force Pro GT, and the Driving Force PRO ?

I'm asking because the Pro seems to be slightly cheaper online. Thanks.

 Neither are good, but they both work fine.:D

Sorry had to add those pics again.

The Driving Force Pro (DFP) and the Driving Force GT (DFGT) are similar, but the DFP is an older model and was not specifically designed for GT.

The DFGT was designed in collaboration with Polyphony Digital and has some very specific functionality designed for GT5 Prologue (and presumably GT5). The small red wheel is for adjusting the in-race car settings, like ABS, TC, etc. It is not necessary to use those functions because you can assign those functions to other buttons in the settings on a DFP.

I have a DFP and I have assigned those functions to other buttons.

The only other differences are in some material and aesthetic differences. People who have tried both tend to like the feel of the DFGT better.

I am currently using a small old school table which I picked up from a second hand shop. It only cost me $15 and it is really sturdy. Look for the older ones though, the newer ones aren't as stable. I'm sure you could pick up something very similar from a Furniture store though (as FoolKiller said), but expect them to be a bit dearer.

I have also heard of people saying the DFP is noisy. My DFGT is very quiet and smooth although the only thing I don't like is the cheesy plastic pedals.

I also use a WSP which is fantastic.
