Does anyone know about this scrapped rally track? I heard this from GT5 forum.

...what about it?
It was featured in GT2 and GT3, it's a variation of Tahiti Maze (being in the same location and all).
That's all I can think of right now, don't even see what's your point.
Don't mean to be rude, just don't get the point :dunce:

The point is it's something to talk about. It's (possibly) a GT2 track, and this is the GT2 forum. Is there a problem?

I've never heard of Tahiti Road 2, although since there's a TH1, it's possible PD started to make a TH2. Try searching...

http://www.formulanone.org/gt2/

and see if Pupik has listed any codes for it under the codes & hybrid section. I'm too lazy.

I've never heard of it as well. Where exactly did you hear about it, tankuroded?

It might be that Tahiti Road is Dirt Route 1, Tahiti Maze is Dirt Route 2, but PD changed the names before release. We'll never know.

And while we're on the subject of Rally tracks, does anyone think Swiss Alps (from later games) resemble a heavily modified Green Forest Roadway in terms of their layout?

Read up on interludes post at a thread about classic tracks on GT5 forum; he says the track (supposed to a night rally track, said him) was scrapped.

I noticed that the moment I saw the trackmaps!

That sounds really fun. A night rally. Damn, why did GT2 have to be a rushed game? Imagine if everything that was supposed to be in GT2 made it to production. :grumpy:

Well, GT5 will have a night version of all tracks, so night rally stages are coming. I agree though, it would be great to have it in GT2. Imagine Pikes Peak downhill at night .

GT2 being a rushed game (along with GT3 to some extent) does have its merits though. Polyphony sure have learnt their mistakes as they're taking their time to finish up GT5.

Exactly. That + the fact that they want to blow away Forza 3 I'm sure. :sly:
