Hi

I saw a post about European classic cars in GT5 and it got me thinking.. why not some classic European racetracks... Brooklands, original Monza circuit etc but mostly the TARGA FLORIO circuit!!!!! - that would wipe the floor with the Ring!!!

"The Targa Florio was an open road endurance automobile race held in the mountains of Sicily near Palermo. Founded in 1906, it used to be the oldest sports car racing event, part of the World Championship until 1973. While also a whole tour (giro) of the island was used at times, the track length of the last decades was limited to the 72 kilometres (45 mi) of the Circuito Piccolo delle Madonie which was lapped 11 times."

Yes this is the way forward. 👍 KY said he wanted to include a free-roam option, this track would be as good as it got for free-roam! 👍

I like the TF idea.

How about the Silver State challenge open road race in Nevada.

Or Muholland Drive in Los Angeles.

Or the Carrera Panamericana!

I just hope they have tracks as DLC. I really miss Sears Point (Infineon) and Mid-field.

I would love to see:

Targa Florio circuit (all variations)
Combined Monza with oval
Original Spa and Spa 24 Hours
Daytona 24 Hours
All variations of Brooklands
Original Nurburgring circuits (Nordshleife, Sudschleife, Small circuit around the pit area ((Can't remember the name of it)) and combined Nordschleife/Sudschleife variation)
Wouldn't mind the GP circuit/Nordschleife combination with the 1st corner complex included.
Also the original Le Mans would be cool too and the Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta.

All of these sound like great ideas... I miss Sears Point and Midfield as well.... especially miss Apricot Hill. That was my favorite track.

Given how long it take PD to do one track do you really want to wait for tracks that might and only might be finished towards the end of the PS5's projected lifespan?

We need a good mountain road, what about the Stelvio pass or something?

Make some use of the Top Gear licence and let us race Jeremy in the Lambo on it or something.

Oh yeah, and the Transfagarasan Highway in Romania (which took Top Gear's best road in the road title from the Stelvio Pass.)

I live about half an hour from Brooklands, Yes it was the first ever purpose built race curcuit however if you have ever driven the representation of it on rfactor you will see it actually is a really boring track compared to todays, its just a wierd shaped oval with 2 lefts and 1 right hand corner, all banked all flat out in all but the fastest cars.
