should i trade in my copy of tdu2 for shift2? been debating on whether to get this for ages since the extremely poor aspects in tdu2.
and ive got gt5, and i love playing it, and do you think that its a good match?
thanks!!

ooohhhhh one last question! hows the career/online mode?!
thanks once again!

Yes, trade in TDU2 and get Shift 2. The career mode is pretty good especially the level of immersion that you get from it. Online is good, but it is even better when played with friends online rather than random people.

Shift 2 is a completely different game from TDU2. I don't consider Shift 2 to be a replacement for TDU2 or vice versa.

If you don't have a wheel I don't think that Shift 2 is for you. Unless of course you liked Shift 1's handling with a gamepad in which case you will probably love Shift 2. But if you are going to use a gamepad I think that GT5 drives better than Shift 2.

But if you have a wheel (and are willing to spend some time to tweak the wheel settings) then Shift 2 is a blast in elite mode and it provides an incredibly realistic, challenging and fun experience, in my opinion by far the most realistic racer in consoles. Keep in mind that elite mode (which in my opinion is the only handling mode worth having in Shift 2) is very unforgiving and if you have become accustomed to GT5's handling you will find Shift 2 to be very difficult at first but as I said eventually better.

Of course if you consider GT5 to offer the most realistic representation of track racing without any flaws and approach Shift 2 with a closed mind then you will be disappointed (but then you would be disappointed by any driving game ;) ). Shift 2 is a hard game to master but very rewarding and with an incredible depth. Thankfully though the career progression is very well balanced, interesting and entertaining so you will never feel like you are grinding! ;)

I suggest to try before you buy! :)

Personally I love Shift 2! :D

I have TDU2 and Shift 2.

Shift 2 is clearly superior if you want to race.... :embarrassed:

It was cool driving all over the islands and stuff, but that was the only fun part of that game..... :embarrassed:

TDU2 is a good but doesnt have the driving feel, Shift is more of a racing car rather than a driving game.

exactly what i think aswell, it lacks on the driving side and it feels as if they've spent all the time on the avatar, and all other things aside from the driving! i mean why would you want cosmetic surgery on your avatar?! and dont even get me started on the speechs in this game OMG!!!!!!

I have both, and they're both good.

Shift 2 is fun, very addictive. Autolog makes single player into sort of a multiplayer game - you always compete against your friends.

If you can, get them both. If you have to choose, go for shift 2.

(I have a lot of problems with shift 2 freezing during races, but I understand this isn't a very widespread problem.)

hmmmmm....! surpose, i guess TDU 2 is probably the only game thats made for cruising, but the only time i play it is when my networks gone on holiday, but other than that its either COD or GT5!

Yes trade in TDU2.In my opinion that game was a bigtime failure.Too much flashy stuff, bugs and not enough racing.

I would get Shift 2 as it blows TDU2 out of the water in terms of sheer racing excitement.Every single race keeps me on the edge of my seat. It's good fun and well worth the dough.

yerh, i think i might just trade it in, that is if i can still get a decent amount for TDU2!!!
if not ill just wait for the price to come down of shift2, proabably a good thing seen as though ive got some pretty darn important exams coming up and knowing me well, youll probably know what will end up happening!!

Mate ive got university exams coming up but im still hammering away at Shift 2 :D

Completely different game.

TDU2 - Drive around an island in sports/supercars, arcade physics aimed at the social racer who wants to hang out in an online world

Shift 2 - Race at a load of world racing tracks in road and racing cars vs AI or online, decent semi-sim physics and aimed at the general non hardcore racing fan.

i think its quite clear on what i should do to this game! everyones saying to get shift2!
thanks forbthe advance people!
