Hi guys, I don't know about you but I've noticed several teams out there in online play. I've chatted with them, some of them wanted me to join, but they seem disorganized. Some of them seemed like they recruit just for big numbers, while a lot of them still seem like randoms to me. Now, I'm not downing team GTP, I've raced several of the guys and they are definatly good, haven't raced a random sporting the GTP name. The reason I would like to start a team is because I have high expectations for the real game, and our Prologue version sports a pretty good driving simulator. I also have high expectations for collaborating a team. With a team, more people can try different techniques, express their techniques and share their techniques. Techniques meaning? Tuning and driving, two vague words that create racing and its concepts. If you understand what I mean, we are probably on the same page. I would like to eventually get a blog or web page of some sort for the team but as a team I would like to discuss it amongst us. What are the requirements? Well here's a couple to get the team started.
Must hold an A-class liscence to be able to tune cars
Must demonstrate good driving skills, i.e. Following a consistent driving line, use of the BRAKES (might seem obvious but a lot of people I have teamed up with will still hit me going around turns like it's really easy to correct an unpredictable push), drafting and last but most important CLEAN RACING, no one likes the a-hole that put them in the grass just to pass the checkered flag first, would you do it in real life? Ok then.
Some kind of experience in all the courses available in Prologue. Everyone has their preferred courses and the ones they don't like, but, like in real life it's not your descicion to race where you want when competing in a series. A real DRIVER knows how to adopt to his environment, what the possibilities are around each corner, and knows his limits on that track.
The ability to use different cars. Anyone can use a single car over and over and eventually learn its abilities. A real DRIVER can get in any car and learn how to use it.
Recommended items to have. The game of course and a decent size t.v. so you can see detail ahead of the road. A steering wheel! If you don't have one, you are missing out. You will recognize the sub-title on the box of the game once you experience it with a steering wheel capable of force feedback. A keyboard of some sort, I hate typing with a controller and it's awfully time consuming. But hey, we all can't experience the luxuries of things we just simply can't afford, so if you don't have one of these you are not out of the chance to join the team.
Now if you think you are fit for this team and are still reading this, here is my goals that I would like to see come out of this team. If anyone's seen the first Transporter movie, I would define that character as a DRIVER because most importantly he knows his car. Here at team DRIVER I would like to be able to hold high positions in online ranked events, with all of us being a winner. Not just one member ranked high, but a group of us. When people see our team they will think, wow... they must work together good. We will have no member left behind. I would like to see us at racing events where we all finish in the top positions, where it will be straight domination. And most importantly, I would like to see us set an example for other teams. I want other teams to see how a real team works, where members will have a well defined character and recogntion at the first glimpse of their name.
So if you are interested, shoot me a PM or e-mail, or a message on my main PSN id, TruCHa6-T-3 and we can discuss further details. I will also be looking for a co-founder that shares similar ideas expressed here.
