Im in a bit a jam, See where I live there are only 3 car clubs/teams. and they all have stupid names (Flawless Performance, Redline Performance, and Full Throttle Racing)

Me and a few buddies of mine are sort of like a team just without a name, but I cant seem to be able to think of any good names.

Thats where I need you guy's help. I know this sounds corny but Im looking for a name like off of Initial D (the Redsuns and the Speedstars) I've been trying to think of something that sounds real intimidating, but my mind doesnt want to cooperate with me. so do you guys think you can help me come up with a bad-ass name?

Well I live in Morganton NC, which would just sound stupid in the name, as for cars

5 240SX's (93' coupe, 92 Fasback, 2 95 S14's, and a 98 S14)
an AE86 (Corolla GTS HB)
89 Civic HB B18 powered
350 hp 95 Eclipse GST <--He's the fastest
00 Honda S2000
94 Civic HB turbo'd H22A

I've had the same dillema, while I don't have a team to be naming (I'm in an already established one), I've often thought about what I would name a team.

Really, you have to just string car words together if you really want an Initial D-esque name.

Things like:

Power Garage
OverBoost Racing
MaximumShift Racing

Or just come up with nonesense:

Ultra Destroy
Super Battle
Power Break

That seems to be how the Japanese teams come up with names, anyways....

all imports eh?
how about some more crazy japanee names with engrish

Rustpower - old cars still compete!
Date Club - cool cars and women!
BlackNight- Roam the dark streets
Auto5Speed - Auto fast
BlurryLights - fast car all you see is blur
Black Apex - rising from the crest of the hill!

Pink Godzira is still my favorite team name. I can't think of any cool names right now though. I'll have to think about it.

Probably the best team name I've ever heard is vat_man's "Big Accident Racing". Probably the most accurate, too: "It's not if, it's when..."

I saw a Solo II driver with "Shallow Pockets Racing" on his DSP MR-2... the motto: "That blowed up real good." I thought that was pretty funny.

Maximum Thrust Racing

It's one of the team name's in that Playboy TV street racing movie Thrust.

Im looking for more of a group name, I dont want blah blah Performance or blah blah Racing Im looking for more of a team like name, like the Redsuns and the Speedstars.

me and my buds call our selves the Dice Boys. Just because we all have fuzzy dice and other dice stuff on our trucks. Just think of something you guys all have alike. Or you guys are into.

But what about something like The Twisted Suns or the the SpeedStalkers?

Fallen Angels
Speed Addicts
Quick Shift
No Ricers
Synister Racing(?)
Swift Launch
Flash performance
Wandering Racers
Hell Raisers
Clutch
Infinite Racing
Squirrels!

Twisted is always good in a name

Twisted Dimentions sounds really cool or what about Brethren of the Sun, kinda dark but sounds cool.

Why not something like the "Maglev racers"?
In case your wonderinr what Maglev is, it's the of those japanese trains that go over 300 miles per hour.

But invented by the Germans. France's TGV Atlantique runs at up to 300mph on rails. The Japanese have clocked a MagLev (Magnetic Levitation) train at 500mph.

Anyway, the Wazzocks is the best name. I mean, check out the high Scrabble score - that's 36 (assuming both Zs count) before any double/triple word/letter bonuses. That's got to be good. And "Z"s and "K"s are the most intimidating letters in the alphabet, like you asked for.

It's an old (c 19th century) abbreviation of Warring Visigoth Cassocks, only with the Ss turned into Zs to look cooler.

Yeah, right!
