tell me how to do it

say you're doing a 10 race series. Get first in the first 9 races, and save the game on the between race menu. Then skip the last race by starting it then quitting it. Then you get a car. If you don't want the car, go and reload your game and skip the race again. Eventually you will get what you want.

But do NOT choose the "exit" option or you will not get any car.
It is imperative that you enter the tenth race, choose to "start" then exit out of the race at that point.
If you have won the first nine races you will automatically win the series on points. You will get the bonus and the prize car. If you don't get the car you want...reload the game and try it again.
repeat as needed until you get the car you want.

here, i'll include every detail possible.

Enter a 10 race series. Then you will win the 1st race. Then it will bring you to a screen with options that say "next" "replay" "save" "options" "exit" something like those, but i am positive there is a NEXT a REPLAY a SAVE and an EXIT. After completing the first race and your at that screen. Press next. do this till you reach the END of the 9th race. After you've done the 9th race and your brought to the screen where it says next, replay, save, etc. press save. After you've saved it press next. And begin the 10th race. Right after it says 3,2,1 press start, and then exit the race. NOTE: u must atleast start the race. Do not in any way press exit anywhere else except when you press start and then exit on the 10th race.

After you exit that race it will bring you to the next screen. Press next. You should win a trophy of some sort and prize money. Then it will take you to a screen where it shows four shadows of four cars. The random selector will choose a car for you. If you do not win the car you want. Press reset on your ps2. Once the game is loaded back up you will be taken to the end of race 9. Start race 10 again and press start and exit. U will win the series like last time and hopefully win the car you want. If not, just reset your ps2 again.

Do you have to restart the PS2? Can't you just go to the main screen and press "Load Game"?

another save cheat you can do with 2 memory cards is this.

1)make a good 500,000 over the cost of the vehicle you want to buy.
2)save to both memory cards.
3)load memory card 2 and purchase your car
4)go to tuneing and buy everything you can.
5)save to memory card 2
6)load memory card 1
8)go to trade in the garage and choose memory card 2
9)buy your fully equiped automobile for the purchase price of the auto without all the extras :)
10)repeat with another car as often as you can.

Um, actually, you only need to join a series of 4 races. Because if you get first, you're +4pts on the #2 dude, and do that two more times, and you're +12pts. Now seeing that you can only get 10pts for 1st, you've basically insured that they can't pass you on the point scale.

Here's the point scale:

1st- +10pts
2nd- +6pts
3rd- +4pts
4th- +3pts
5th- +2pts
6th- +1pts

Now if you quit the race, you get +0pts, so you need to have at least 11 more points than the 2nd place person(that would make you first, yes) to make you win.

Although, I never knew this was a cheat. If this is a cheat, wouldn't quitting after a race starts to just skip it, but you have to save and try multiple times so the 2nd person, the person behind you pts wise, doesn't get 1st in the race and pass you up points-wise be a cheat? I've never thought of that as cheating. I guess just skipping races is cheating too. I originally didn't want to skip, but after I have a 30 point lead, it gets really boring racing using a Camero Race Car, going against regular Vipers and Corvettes... It even gets boreing racing those with the Mustang....
