It's no secret that I'm a massive fan of electric cars, and since Tesla Motors is my favourite car manufacturer, I couldn't not suggest this one :D

Tesla has once again raised the bar of production EV performance with the new P90D, which has a "Ludicrous Mode" which allows the well over two tonne saloon to hit 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and dispatch the 1/4 mile in 10.9 seconds. Top speed is still limited to 155 mph to protect the batteries and improve efficiency, but it gets there 20% quicker than the P85D.

Not only is the P90D faster though. It also has 15 miles better range (300 miles total) than the P85D and adds only $10,000 to the price, bearing in mind it has a whopping 762 bhp, a full 71 bhp more than the P85D. Incidentally, 503 of said horsepower are powering the rear wheels, and 259 for the front.

An electric sedan with more power than a Lamborghini Aventador!? Hell yes

So let me get this straight...

Has more power than this

Now I DEFINITELY want this in GT, no, this car NEEDS to be in EVERY modern racing game!!!

...plus 5 more seats, two more driven wheels, over 200lb/ft more torque, 300 miles of range, and about one tenth of the price :D

I don't think there is anything at the price of a model S P90 that is as fast as it.

I guess the Ultima GTR if you're considering any car for the same price or less, but for regular production models, yeah pretty much no competition.

But on a side note, the Tesla Vision GT car has been the one that I've been looking forward to the most all along, but now that the P85D and P90D have shown what they are truly capable of (Musk has also announced that the forthcoming Model X MPV will also have a 0-60 in 3.3 second mode), it's got me even more pumped for their VGT car...
