For a fun, enjoyable game. I feel the need to write this after seeing all of the negativity around these parts.
First, thanks to GT Planet for putting together this fine site and bringing together a great community. I have followed this site religiously since my foray into GT5 and have learned a lot from everyone here and for that, thank you. I am not a "gear head" but enjoy driving games and this site helps me get the most out of the game with tunes, tips and other ideas. Thank you.
Thank you to Sony for making the Gran Turismo series exclusive to PlayStation and forcing me to buy the best console I have used. I can not wait to see this game on PS4 with 2,000,000 cars
Lastly, thank you to Polyphony for working hard to develop the best driving simulator I have played on a console. I enjoyed GT5 and so far enjoy GT6 far more. No game is perfect and every game will have its flaws. I have no problem with the in game financial system (I have bought four cars already to help me get through the tests, the same as I did in GT5) and yes I plan on taking advantage of the microtransactions to help me along. But that in no way is ruining the game experience for me.
We play video games to enjoy ourselves and get away from the real world. That is how I use this game and is how you should try to also. All the negativity is not a good thing and may chase away people on the fence about buying the game if they stumble upon the site.
Lets give Polyphony a chance here. The game has been out 3 days and already most of the posts I see are negative. We know this isn't anywhere near the complete game with the news of monthly DLC and features that will be added. Enjoy the game. Use it as an escape from the real world and the negativity that is there.
Have fun!
And if anyone wants to add a GT friend and is reasonable and not a non-stop complainer, my PSN is peteg9699. I do not race online too often (afraid to get into lobbies and race as I am not the greatest driver in the world, don't want people hating me than they probably already do after this post) but don't mind some who don't mind a novice driver and someone who will grind a bit when b-spec comes up.
