I for one thank PD for putting B-Spec in GT5.

Some people can't play video games 24/7 and the B-Spec drivers have made me millions $$ and won some awesome cars.

All while I was doing other things or at night while I sleep.

My B-Spec level is 34 and my A-Spec level is 30 which would be much lower if I didn't have all the B-spec money and cars to use.

I have also had fun watching some B-Spec events and training my drivers as well. Just retired my 1st two drivers and started 2 new ones.

I consider it as entertaining as A-Spec.

Just thought I'd show PD some people appreciate this feature and wanted to counter all the negetive posts about B-spec.

GOOD JOB PD

I'm pleased with the cars that ive got from B-spec, and I am currently level 37, once ive got to level 40 and done that last race, I will never touch B-spec again. It was a good journey though.

I'm just about to start my B-Spec properly and I'm looking forward to it. I've always loved racing and I always watch f1 so watching in B-Spec where it's more realistic racing is gonna be good for me.

B spec races are twice as long as A spec, that's the only thing I don't like about it.
I'm currently level 12. Does B Spec get better after this level?

You are of course entitled to your opinion but I for one don't like B-Spec. I like to actually play the game, not let the computer do the driving for me (and very badly, I might add) Sure, you can win some good cars without having to pay for them but I hate having to babysit my driver in the earlier competitions and just stare at the screen for 10 minutes each race. It is almost impossible to have a competitive race, anyway. It's either 1st by a country mile or near last.

You have got to be kidding, it is absolutely bloody awful. They should have built on GT4 rather than giving this mess.

Have Sony/PD been buying shares in electricity companies ?

What's the old saying? If you don't have anything nice to say...

---------------------------------------------------------------

Back to the subject matter: B-Spec works for me. I will say that I get tired of it here and there, but it's nice to know that I can progress in the game without being fully consumed in it. Earning the X2010 and the FGT made it that much less stressful. I just finished the 24 Le Mans race, and I'll just be running that and the 9hr Tsukuba at times when I won't be near or able to play my PS3.

Last week, I'll admit that I did get to the point where I just wanted to do the driving! I have this shiny X2010 and all these credits! So I bought some cars and went online for an afternoon since I had the time to spare. It's nice to just play without the purpose of grinding A-Spec and/or B-Spec.

Once I'm level 40 and beat that 24hrs at the Nurb... B-Spec is history unless I want to do the Dream Car Championship whilst multitasking around the house.

Get lost. This isn't a thread for flaming B-Spec. There are already 100's of threads for that..

bspec is very useful to me as stated in earlier posts....you cant beat just letting your bspec driver do his work while im busy doing "important" things around the house or while keeping the woman happy in the bed :)

Bspec mode is growing on me. I like to have it going on Sundays while I watch NFL football. I am Level 11 in bspec and Level 22 in aspec. The good cars I have won playing aspec have allowed me to kick ass in bspec. One of the cars that I won early on in bspec, the Mazda Furai, also made life easier in aspec, since it allowed me to win the Indy race of Level 21 Like the Wind.

I hate it. Its so stupid. Frustrating. Annoying.

Those were my first thoughts of B-spec. Boy was I wrong, now that i've fully concentrated on just b-spec, I LOVE IT! Its so fun to watch Bob race (and do well! frustrating when he doesnt! hehe) but the prizes are great, the money is great, I think its great now :) grinding near the top levels is a pain though!

Even though B-Spec is longer (never played GT4 so idk how it runs there) but im starting to use it more since theres no way in hell i can go through 9 hours - 24 hour endurance races ill get bored way too quick. At least my B spec driver can do all the work.

Being homeschooled I can say B-spec is nice. Start up a race, forget, do some work, start another race later. That way I can have plenty of credits to buy all the cars I want to drive (and some I don't).

Plus I got the Toyota 7 race car and without that I'd have to buy something crazy like the 2J or one of those other multi-million credit cars for two friggin' races.

No. I paid for the game and I am entitled to my opinion, and as I reach level 38 I know bspec. I do not think PD need a thank you for what they have given us here, and maybe the OP will agree when he tries to get to the higher levels. Bspec is fun early on, but was a missed opportunity, and clearly a lot of others agree about what has been delivered.

Sometimes it can be boring but the historic battle sure was a lot of fun. They need to make the controls better though. The down, stay, speed up, overtake aren't that good.

I enjoyed it for a while. Going through the actual career events, putting up with Bob's peculiar ways, having the occasional close race. And now that I'm b-spec level 36, Bob does all my grinding for me, perpetually running the X2010 or Formula GT through the Dream Car Championship.

Pretty much done with trying to level him up though. I figure it would take about 7 of the 24 hour endurance races to get him to level 40, and I'm not going to go 7 days without being able to play my PS3 just for a trophy or whatever. That's silly.

I really enjoyed B-Spec , i will do it again when my Bobs retire , with fresh Bobs and great cars at their disposal this time. I am L35 B-Spec and doing the Le Mans to get to 40 ( I have 2 PS3's so i just play games on the other one while Bob grinds out the XP and ££.) when he is at L40 and completed all the races i will turn back to A-Spec and enter the 9 hour race overnight while i sleep and just take the xp from finishing last until L40 A-Spec then i will do them all for real finishing 1st and complete GT5.(The lapped endurance i think you have to do the laps to gain xp the timed ones you should get the xp when it ends i figure ?) I also gift my wife's account cars needed to progress so when all GT5 is done i will start again on hers.
B-Spec is another attribute to the game i enjoy it , for some it is useless , each to their own i say.

Now that the holiday season end. I no longer have much time for the A-spec. Thanks to B-spec. I still can continue earn some credit from Bob. It is a pain at the begining, now that bob had learn how to 'drive'. It really pay off.

I do exactly the same thing 2 PS3's one is doing the 24HR Le-sarthe in B-Spec .

I'm now a 1/4 of the way through level 39 on the other PS3 i have the same Game Save all I do is Update it when the Race is finsihed .

In the Meantime I have two other Accounts one is A-Spec Only as i'm Curious to se how far I can get in A-Spec without using B-spec .

The other is B-spec again just to see how that progresses .

Also means I can Gift Cars that are needed for Races rather than buying them .

Harley45 great minds think alike (laughing).. Why grind when you can do it in your sleep .. I find it amusing when people say - just do xxxx races and you will get to L40, why do anything just sleep/go to work and progress. Then come back to the game and do at leisure when everything is unlocked .. When completed do your other account(s) and have fun there with all the cars ready upgraded and tuned. I gift cars to my wife and save the data before gifting back so both accounts get the same cars and i buy cars save them to the PC and reload the data when i want to gift car X to myself (it is like i have snap shots of the UCD in many game saves on my PC i can access at anytime) then reload my real progressed game to collect it. Why bother trading and risk being stung, everything comes to he who waits all the cars will tuen up in the UCD at some point and there is no need to drop below 20mill credit ever again. So when i reach L40 i can buy the X2010's everyday without having to turn a wheel.

Plus having 2 PS3's means i can still watch my divx films if i get bored of gaming.

Good luck and well done on reaching L40 in the next few days btw.

Yes, thanks PD for Bob :]. But we need that money cap removed. It made me lose 600+ that I won on Dream Car championship. :[
Anyway, other than that, I bought some decent cars for Bob's money.
