How can this be done...?

What's the best car and track for this? This is only available in Arcade mode right?

I used a AEM S2000 on 5 different tracks and the most point I can get in a sector mode is 4000.....

Any tips? Thanks

It can be done pretty quickly on Tsukuba. I used that same car to grab it, and have also used a stock Ford GT (prize car) to get roughly the same score. The trick is to stay close to the inside of the curve you're in; that nets you a lot more points than swinging around the outer edges. Good luck!

I will steal this thread for my own question regarding this trophy :D

How do one set up a car to drift? I am getting used to set up cars now for the race track, but still i am a noob doing it, when it comes to drift i have really no clue at all on what to change , suspension and so on.

Any advices?

I did mine at Chamonix too, really easy. Rally cars will be the easiest to do this in since they are setup to slide.

Just be smooth. I finally just a week ago decided to make a drift car. It is a '69 Camaro and I bought the LSD, all the weight reductions, full suspension and transmission upgrades, and a racing air filter. I just played with the settings. I first took it online to an open drift lobby on Tsukuba and kept practising and adjusting until it felt right. Then I just had a blast and finally remembered there was a trophy and got it first try. So what I suggest is find a car you love and then tune it to your driving style and practise, practise, practise, then try for the trophy on Tsukuba. Good thing about that track is it is all sweeping corners and there are five sectors.

Easiest cars to get this with are the Toyota Tacoma, the Alfa Romeo 8C and the Cizeta. Easiest track to do this on is Eigar or Tsukuba. The Tacoma and 8C are the best in my opinion. I've gotten 11k with the 8C and 10,600 with the Tacoma on Eiger.

Best thing about these car is you don't need to make any modifications to them. Just turn off the TC and you're good to go.

I used the AEM S2000 on Suzuka East for this trophy. I'm far from great at drifting but I found the corners fairly easy to slide round on this course

10k points is pretty easy. Top drifters scored way past 20k in online drift challenges. I think i socored about 12k in my s15 silvia in online challenges. Find good tunes from tuner folder if you do not know how to start. Also FOLLOW THE RACING LINE, or you won't score very high.

I think alot of you are confusing a sector with a full lap. He means in one turn get 10000 points

Sorry, but 10,000 in one turn is nearly impossible. The trophy is for getting a combined 3-sector score of 10,000 points. (also known as: one sector mode round)

I recently switched steering wheel from a 180 to a 900. With a 180 I was a drifting king, now I can hardly make a regular easy drift. It's a totally different style.

I did it on my second try. I worked on Suzuka East in a black Nissan 200sx. I don't think I upped the power much, restored the whole car though. Maybe got an air filter, ECU and Exhaust. Otherwise worked with only Suspension and LSD. I don't think I had enough to get the racing trans at the time. First time 4000k points. Second time a little over 10k. Like 1032x. I used a DFGT, and it wasn't that hard. Honestly I think the nearly stock horsepower made it much easier than if I were to have bumped it to 350+.

I did mine with a 350z using a tune from GTP. Also the trophy list here says to do it in Arcade Mode with section drift mode not full lap drift. Good luck.

Tsukuba is an excellent choice. 10,000 isn't all that hard with a good setup. Here's what to do:

Get the Buick Special '62!
Get Comfort hard tires.
Set Spring rates (suspension) to highest.
Turn off all aids (except ABS 1, Active Steering on whatever)

Takes the turns SLOW and on the inside. Tap the emergency break button before every turn. If you go it right you will be telling the car to turn hard right for nearly all of the first turn but it will stay on the track (on the inside of the turn). Keep restarting until you get at least 3,000 on the first turn on Tsukuba- 6,000 is a possibility but not necessary to get to 10,000.

My best is around 17,000.

I wanted the trophy so I went to Eiger (tarmac) with a stock (including stock tyres) 1990 Mazda RX-7 GT-X and got 10k fairly easily.

Same here...almost. Mine is just 720, but I still can't drift a lick w/ it. So retarded...I can drift 10x better in real life than I can w/ this damn DFGT. :ouch:

I totally suck at drifting. Got the trophy by somehow pulling a 10013-points-drift at Chamonix. If I can do it, I'm sure you can do it too.

I got it with aem s2000 at autumn ring mini, now i drift with a large v8 commodore haha holds good drifts in 3rd/4th gear with comfort softs
