That special corner..

I think everyone has "that special corner." I mean, a corner in a track where you take it as smooth as possible, a corner that you can take perfectly and get a greater lead or pass everyone.

Mine has to be Casio and turn 14 on Suzuka Circuit.

The bus stop at Daytona road.

Degner/Dunlop at Suzuka.

They are normally where I go faster than most of my opponents, even if they are quicker everywhere else.

Hmm, I don't have a particular corner where I'm always strong versus my opponents, it varies from race to race where other people are weak or strong. It also depends on what car me and my opponenets are using. But generally I seem to get a jump on people on the exit of turn 2 and heading into the start of the Esses, which sets me up nicely to take and defend the position all the way to Degner.
The 2nd corner/exit of Spoon is a good place usually to catch people, but I'm no master at it, its more that other people are weak there.

A favourite corner for me to overtake though is slipstreaming through 130R and then jumping past under braking into Casio. Its always very satisfying to pull of moves around there, as its at such high speed.

Edit: Oh thats a good corner too, the bus stop at Daytona Road is definitely a good place to make up a dose of time.

If I was to talk about all tracks and not just GT5:P ones though, I'd definitely say turn 1 at Mugello (Ferrari Challenge), the turn 11-12 combination at the Nurburgring (F1:CE) and Maggotts/Becketts combo at Silverstone (FC & F1:CE) are strong corners for me.

Nope, no such corner. Sorry.

I can name several corners where I suck even more than normal though. Degner 2 at Suzuka and the bus stop at Daytona Road are only two that immediately springs to mind. Not to mention the final corner at Fuji and pretty much every corner in London. Oh, and the final corner at High Speed ring and Dunlop at Suzuka as well

Oh, and the final corner at High Speed ring

Yeah, thats a tough corner to get nailed in race situations consistently, there are a lot of different lines you can take and still have some good speed but they all depend on the position of your rivals so you can slipstream/block them as well as car control through the corner to keep the speed.

The best i have seen is taking it from outside. The Guy on #1 with Amuse S2000 Professional Physics took that corner pretty sweet.

Mine in all honestly would be the last turn at HSR before the straight, for some odd reason I always take this corner so smoothly.

Turn 5 at Trafalgar Square on London Reverse, maybe the only corner where speed and position means you can overtake in the corner at this course

There are a whole bunch of corners I love... but my absolute favorite has to be the first sequence diving downhill into the tunnel, Midfield Reverse. I absolutely love that place. It's bonkers. Get it right, in the right car, and you can pretty much straightline it without setting more than two wheels off the track. Almost won a contest once, because of that corner... lost because they didn't penalize people for punting you off...

Trial Mountain seems made of nothing but bonkers corners, too... and Deep Forest. The sequence of twisties after the Karrussel on the Nurburgring are such a joy to drive, also.

But if we're talking purely GT5P, I have special love for the chicane (is that the Bus Stop?) on the back straight of Daytona road... first corner, esses and 130R on Suzuka... and the last corner of Eiger Forward. If you're really tight behind a guy on the uphill, it's easy to force him to brake late for that corner, making for an easy overtake down into the fastest part of the circuit.

I like the bus stop in online racing. I manage to be fairly fast through there consistently while racing.:)

Hmm, I'd probably say turn 3 at Fuji, I always make a lot of ground there and take it well. But I don't know if I really have a special corner or not.

Hmmm.... 130R and the chicane at Fuji... Turn 1+2 combo and Spoon at Suzuka... :) These corners always put a smile on my face :D

I don't have any special corners. If I'm in the mood all corners are special, if I'm demotivated I suck at every single corner .

Seriously though, I think I'm quite ok at T2 HSR, Daytona Road Bus-Stop and T2 Fuji.

My best corner in the whole GT series has got to be the SSR11 Bus-Stop (GT1 version) though.

i like the few turns that follow straight after the tunnel on special stage route 5, i cant wait to see this on GT5 will be awsome, especially with many new cars having the ice blue HID lights :)

When I'm in the zone, I'm pretty good at Spoon on Suzuka, though I cannot cope with turn one there - ever since GT4 I've sucked most of the time. Still, at least in the one lap things you don't waste much time restarting! I am terrible also at the hairpins on Eiger, I just don't get them at all. Turn one at Daytona Road is also a bit tricky.

I have always enjoyed the Corner at Eiger where you come out of the tunnel, then the suspension loads up going into the dip and your turn in is very sharp, the fact that the corner then swaps into a very slightly off cambered exit and rise makes it amazing to observe the grip limits off the tyres.:D:tup:

The "S" at HSR,right before entering tunnel, got that one down to a science,I see a lot of racers in the wall here. It's all about entry.
