The 2004 Paris-Dakar Rally

This race is awesome! The competitors are currently on day 5!!! Im watching coverage of a BMW X5 doing jumps in the middle of a desert! The race has everything from bikes to trucks. These things are so huge! With ground clearance of about a metre and more torque than the Kia factory has ever produced!   Colin McRae is currently racing in a Nissan Navara, which sounds bloody awesome!

Is anyone else watching it?!

It's on Eurosport nightly. I've seen all but one night of it.

Rally Raiding: for people who think that the World Rally Championship stages are a bit namby-pamby.

I love watching that rally. Seeing the guys on the bikes tearing ass through the desert plains almost made me want to be there on a bike of my own.
The huge trucks are quite a sight as they make their way over the dunes, and you can't forget the quad-bikes. ;)

Rally races are probably, outside of watching drifting and monster trucks, my favorite type of racing. It's just non-stop action that doesn't lose it's interest over long amounts of time, like NASCAR sometimes gets.

Bet you Colin McCrae will crash at 105 mph on the last day.

Colin McCrash is back!
Heehee.

Saw a flash of the racing tonight on SBS, McCrae was just about minus his rear wing

Up to third now I think!

Don't worry, I expect he'll trash it soon.

If he doesn't maybe he drives more smoothly now he realise 1 crash could kill him.
